In Acts chapter 2, God poured out his Holy Spirit upon the disciples in a mighty way. What does it
mean for believers today, two thousand years later?
Gifts of the Spirit attempts to provide historical answers about this topic from a Messianic Jewish
perspective. In this seminar we will take a serious look at the role of the Holy Spirit and supernatural
gifts. What does Judaism say about prophets and prophecy? What did the gift of tongues mean to
the early believers? What is a Spirit-filled life, and what are the gifts of the Spirit from an apostolicJewish perspective? How did they function? Is the Holy Spirit active today?
This is prophetic teaching about the power of the Messianic Era bursting into this current age in the
form of supernatural manifestations. The gifts of the Spirit are tokens of the Messianic Era—a down
payment on the promises of the Kingdom of Heaven­—bringing the power of the Messianic Age into
our world today. A supernatural, Holy-Spirit-saturated life is part of discipleship and kingdom living.
