Children’s Art Contest
A 4th of July member tradition at the Ponte Vedra Inn &
Club is to collect the colorful holiday-themed T-shirts. Again
this year, a children’s art contest will be conducted with the
winning design to be placed on the 2015 July 4th T-shirt.
Here are the guidelines: AGES: 4–14 yrs. ART SURFACE:
paper, canvas, poster board. PAPER: white 8.5 x 11.

June’s featured artist of the month in the Inn’s Gallery of Shops is Dennis Campy. He
explores art through drawing a language of marks that communicates different narratives
which creates feelings and elements of things that we encounter in everyday life. His
images represent a period of time - a glimpse into the ongoing evolution of a body of
work. A resident of Atlanta since 1972 and graduate of the Atlanta College of Art in
1992, Dennis now divides his time between Atlanta and San Marco in Jacksonville, FL.

Beach Yoga
Monday at 6 p.m.
Come and practice yoga in a supportive and
fun environment. This class will help you
open up areas of tightness, such as hips
and shoulders, and get you moving with
basic Sun Salutations sequences—always
with suggestions for modifications. If you are
feeling stressed out, you will leave this class
feeling refreshed and energized.
An informational session is being offered Monday,
June 15 at 5:30 p.m. for families to learn the basics
in ocean safety! A team of lifeguards will be discuss:
different flag colors, what to do if you’re caught in a rip
current and marine life. No registration is necessary.

in water safety and life guarding
techniques with “safety first” as the
main focus. All candidates must be
able to swim a minimum of 100 yards
(four laps in the pool) non-stop. For

Come participate in this exciting class focuses on
pain-free fitness and longevity. Participants, using
specialized equipment such as soft body rollers
and small balls will be led through a series of easy,
precise techniques, each designed to strengthen
the connective tissue. Through practice, expect
to reduce aches and pains, wrinkles and cellulite,
tension, headaches and the risk of injury while
improving flexibility and mobility, posture, sleep,
digestion and overall well-being. $25 per class.

Chef Herman Muller will be directing a hands-on interactive cooking
class on Saturday, June 20 from noon to 2 p.m. With aprons on,
members will receive step-by-step preparation instructions as they
personally create three delightful dining courses. This is a wonderful
opportunity to gain insight into cooking philosophies and techniques.
Class enrollment is limited to the first sixteen registrants. Sommelier’s
Choice wine included. The cost is $75 per person with service charge

Father’s Day Dining
The Seahorse Grille’s Sunday Brunch continues to impress with a delightful selection of breakfast and
brunch favorites from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Adults will also enjoy a Mimosa or Bloody Mary. The cost is $33.50

Recognize Dad on ‘His Day’ by treating him to a dinner at the Golf Club on Sunday, June 21 from 5:30–8:30
p.m. Dad can enjoy all of his favorites at our family friendly buffet while the kids enjoy balloon animals and

The Seahorse Grille will host a Rombauer Wine Dinner on Thursday, June 25.
The Rombauer Winery was founded in 1982 by Joan and Koerner Rombauer
and is located in Napa Valley. Rombauer has quickly grown into a very wellknown winery within the wine world and beyond. Each year their wines are
highly rated within the trade and sell out rather quickly, so it is a true honor to
have Jeff Papa from the Rombauer winery here to spend an evening of great
wine and food with us here at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club. The event will
start with a meet and greet reception at 7 p.m., followed by beautiful food and

The Ponte Vedra Inn and Club’s Head Golf Professional, Bruce
Mohler, has been recognized by the North Florida Section,
PGA of America as the 2015 Merchandiser of the Year.
Geographically, the North Florida PGA extends from Orlando
north to the Georgia state line and west to Tallahassee.
More than 400 clubs and courses, along with 800-plus PGA
members are represented within this area. Bruce was selected
from golf professionals throughout North Florida in recognition
of demonstrating superior skill as a business leader in the
promotion of golf, along with providing a well-displayed shop
and a service oriented staff. Bruce has been Ponte Vedra’s
Head Golf Professional since 2004. Congratulations!

The popular Summer Golf Camp for
Juniors returns in June with a new and
expanded curriculum. In addition to the
finest in golf instruction, junior members
(ages 7–14) can expect weekly tournaments, state of the art
training aids, ice cream socials, free golf club giveaways twice
a month, and weekly prizes. Summer Camp starts June 2 and
will continue every Monday through Friday from 9:30–11 a.m. The
price is $35 per day, $140 per week or $450 per month. Call the

The 5:30 PM shotgun played in a
scramble format will allow members

Members may bring their parents and guests out on Tuesdays and Sundays after
2 p.m. for no charge if they’re walking or cart fee only if they’re riding. Juniors

Our uproarious Tennis Exhibition is just around the
corner! On Thursday night, June 11th at 7:00 p.m., join
our Men’s Tennis Staff as they don their wigs and skirts
to compete against Senior Head Pro, Narelle Parkes
and friends! The men must alternate hits during every
point of the match and only get one serve! Last year
the rain came at 3-games all but look for some NEW
REPRESENTATION this year! Ladies you can support
our Lady-Pros by wearing a ball-cap. Men you can
support our Male-Pros by being loud and drinking from the free beer keg filled with your favorite cold
beverage. All for fun—great tennis and entertainment.
