Firestone Building Products Showcases Sustainable Solutions for Maximizing Building Performance and Design at AIA 2015 Visit Firestone Building Products at Booth 531 INDIANAPOLIS (May 7, 2015) – Firestone Building Products Company, LLC, a leading manufacturer and supplier of a comprehensive “Roots to Rooftops” product portfolio, will demonstrate its newest and most groundbreaking building envelope design solutions at the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Convention set from May 14 – 16, in Atlanta, Ga. The AIA Convention is among the world’s preeminent annual gatherings of architecture and design professionals. It brings together the newest products, materials and technologies — and the industry experts using them. Firestone Building Products will be demonstrating the following building envelope design solutions at Booth 531: UltraPly™ TPO SA and RubberGard™ EPDM SA with Secure Bond™ Technology are designed to be the next generation of fully adhered roof system applications; with EPDM SA with Secure Bond Technology serving as the first self-adhered EPDM available on the market today. Secure Bond™ Technology features a factory applied pressure sensitive adhesive that ensures adhesion coverage across the membrane and establishes one of the strongest bonds possible. This advanced technology significantly improves installation speed over traditional fully adhered applications and allows installation in temperatures as low as 20 degrees Fahrenheit. Secure Bond™ Technology also has no Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). CLAD-GARD™ SA-FR with CoreGard™ Technology is the only self-adhered, waterproof, UL Class A underlayment available on the market today. By offering the fire protection of UL Class A roofing materials in a single-layer, CLAD-GARD SA-FR with CoreGard Technology reduces installation time, labor costs and the overall number of necessary materials for commercial roofing projects. The SkyScape™ Vegetative Roof System includes modular and built-in-place roof systems including regionalized growing media blends and plants for a variety of design possibilities. All lightweight systems are easy to install and meet or exceed major stormwater management and wind uplift criteria for commercial buildings. Enverge™ Cavity Wall Products were developed specifically to meet building envelope thermal performance requirements. The portfolio is comprised of continuous insulation (CI) (available in two facer options: coated fiberglass mat facer and aluminum foil facer); an air and vapor barrier; and thru-wall flashing to impede thermal bridging.
