APRIL 27, 2015
The revised Frymaster FilterQuick Fryer, in electric
and gas, is released for sale in all markets. The
notable difference is the change from push/
pull handles to a push button LED ring switch.
The operation is similar and the new software is
compatible with both units. A new optional oil
quality sensor (OQS) is available on the fryer to
measure the total polar material (TPM) of the oil.
If any of the controllers or boards are replaced, a
complete software update should be performed,
to ensure the compatibility of the software.
A software update is not necessary unless
components are replaced or the optional OQS is
added to the system.
carry different software and part numbers. They
are not interchangeable.
Service agencies will be notified as the new fryers
are shipped to their areas. Required stocking parts
are provided on the following page.
The FilterQuick fryers feature prompted semiautomatic filtering, automatic oil top off and
a FilterQuick Smart4U controller, which has

The new fryers have low-volume fry pots and
there are many similarities to Frymaster’s other
automated fryers.
FilterQuick electric (above) and gas (below).
The oil top-off system is like the LOV fryer and tops
off through the return manifold. There is a reset
switch on the fryer, which eases rebooting of the
computer system.
Two hours are allowed, per system, for the startup. Two hours are allowed for training the store
personnel. See the start-up and training forms,
819-7129 and 819-7130.
FAS techs familiar with the LOV fryer should be
comfortable with the FilterQuick fryer.
The probes, burners and elements used on
FilterQuick fryers are the same as the LOV stocking
parts. The ATO, MIB and AIF boards used on the
FilterQuick fryers are similar to LOV boards but
