Latest Innovation from Henny Penny Fryers Saves Energy
Henny Penny is excited to announce a new advancement in LOV Technology that will save franchisees
significant dollars in energy costs. Energy Saver Mode (ESM)
is a new feature offered on all Henny Penny Gas and Electric
LOV fryers for 2014. This new innovation allows owners to use
less energy when vats are not being used. Once a vat is
inactive for 30 minutes or more, the fryer will automatically
lower the setpoint from 177C°/350 F° down to 95C°/200 F°.
Similar to a “sleep-mode” for computers, Energy Saver Mode
moves the fryer into an “idle” state which uses less energy.
The vat will display the word “IDLE” on the controls and
include a “Wake up” button to bring vats back to temperature
when needed. This is a highly valuable feature for 24 Hour
Restaurants or stores that struggle to consistently manage a fryer fire up and turn down schedule. “We
are an extremely high volume store and have high
expectations for our equipment to be reliable and ready
when we need it. Energy Saver Mode has been excellent,”
explains Brent Walker, McDonald’s Store Manager, “ESM
has provided energy savings opportunities for our store
without any negative operational impact!” The impressive
thing about ESM is that it doesn’t require anything special
from the crew or managers. The fryer will automatically
monitor the cooking status and determine when ESM
should be activated.

to $500 US Dollars for an electric
LOV Fryer and $700 for a gas LOV
