July 6-August 6 Pre-Dance: $45/session 30 min class: $44/session 45 min class: $62/session 60 min class: $70/session 90 min class: $87/session Classes are designed for any student who likes to dance and wants to study the art of dance in a structured class atmosphere. Most classes are open level and all levels of ability are welcome. Classes are grouped together by age of students rather than ability and are then instructed with appropriate technique, style, choreography and overall content. Technique, choreography, developing individual style and learning dance class etiquette are all incorporated in each class. Use the age groups as a guide when registering and students should be within two months of age for classes attending. Instructed by professional dance instructors who cultivate each dancer with encouragement and praise. Smaller class size to ensure individual attention. Classes fill fast - register early to reserve your spot in class. Instructor approval for all Pointe classes. Beginner Pointe students must attend both beginner classes. Dress Code (both classes) Female: solid colored leotard, pink tights, ballet shorts or ballet skirt, ballet shoes. NO extra tops or lyrical shoes allowed. Male: shorts and solid white t-shirt, ballet shoes. Intermediate/Advanced Level Age 13-19: Tue 7:00-7:30p COMBO CLASSES LEAPS & TURNS Intermediate/Advanced Age 7-11: Thu 5:30-6:15p Age 11-19: Thu 6:45-7:30p Technique based. Recommended for competition dancers. Strength & Stretch class required to attend this class. Regular dance wear required. STRENGTH & STRETCH Open Level Age 7-11: Tue 7:30-8:30p Age 11-16: Tue 8:30-9:30p Age 7-11: Mon 5:30-6:00p Age 12-Adult: Mon 6:00-6:30p A high-kick, high energy class. Work on technique, flexibility and dance line specified moves. Open level. Recommended for the competition company and school dance team. Regular dancewear and jazz shoes required. Intermediate/Advanced Age 7-11: Thu 5:00-5:30p Age 11-19: Thu 6:15-6:45p Increase flexibility, toning and strengthening. Highly recommended for all competition dancers. Athletic clothing required. No shoes necessary. JAZZ/CONTEMPORARY Intermediate/Advanced Age 16-Adult: Thu 7:30-9:00p Regular dancewear and appropriate shoes required. HIP HOP Age 7-11: Tue 6:30-7:15p Age 11-15: Tue 7:30-8:15p Age 16-Adult: Tue 8:30-9:30p All classes are choreography based. Open level. Comfortable athletic clothing and jazz or athletic (indoor only) shoes required. PRIVATE LESSONS For students who wish to work on skills on a oneon-one basis. Recommended for competition dancers preparing for auditions in the company or solos/duets. Lessons are scheduled around the regular class schedule. $40/1 hour lesson. The Intensives are designed for students pursuing excellence in technique and artistry. For intermediate and advanced students who are dedicated, disciplined and dance with a generosity of spirit working on refining technique and performance. Highly recommended for students auditioning for any Performance and Competition Companies—all combined are highly recommended. Recommended for “Ballet Production” students. Pointe students must take Ballet Intensive. Female: Ballet shoes, pink tights, solid color leotard, ballet shorts or skirts. NO tops over leotard. Intermediate & advanced levels. Camps are designed with performance in mind. Dancers work on multiple styles of choreography while refining style and artistry as a performing artist. Learning choreography quickly while adapting performance is required for these camps. All camps include auditions during the week. Dancers are selected during auditions for the competition companies for the next season. Camps are highly structured, fast-paced, intermediate to advanced levels and are for disciplined, dedicated and passionate dancers who love to perform and compete. “DANCE LINE” Competition Co. “HIP HOP” Competition Co. August 17-20 $55/camp August 17-20 $55/camp Age 7-11: M-Th 5:30-6:30p Age 11-19: M-Th 6:30-7:30p Age 7-11: M-Th 6:30-7:30p Age 11-19: M-Th 7:30-8:30p A technique and choreography based camp. 1-2 years of Jazz and/or Dance Line experience recommended. Students are selected at the end of the camp for the Competition Co. for 2015-2016. Auditions are Thursday, August 20. Jazz shoes and regular dance wear required. Students who plan to audition are highly recommended to attend the Dance Line and Jazz summer classes. Choreography based camp for intermediate-advanced dancers. 2 years of Hip Hop experience recommended. Dancers from this camp are selected for the Competition Company 20152016. Auditions are Thursday, August 20. Dancers must attend the camp in order to be in the company. Athletic clothing and jazz shoes or athletic (indoor only) shoes required. August 24-28 $106/camp Age 7-11: M-F 5:00-6:30p Choreography in Jazz and Lyrical for intermediate/advanced dancers. 3 years of Jazz, Ballet and Lyrical experience recommended. Bronze 1 & 2 are Competition Companies. Auditions are Friday, August 28. Regular dance wear, jazz and lyrical shoes required. Students who plan to audition are highly recommended to take all the summer classes they can before this camp. August 24-28 $120/camp Age 11-18: M-F 6:30-9:00p Choreography in Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Ballet and Hip Hop for intermediate/advanced dancers. “GPS” are Competition Companies. Auditions are Friday, August 28. Regular dance wear, jazz and lyrical shoes required. Students who plan to audition are highly recommended to take all the summer classes they can before this camp.
