FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Evan Roman, raised in West Palm Beach, Fla., is a thirdyear student at Florida State University, majoring in
finance. In 2016, he will begin pursuing his master’s
degree in finance from the College of Business. Roman
currently serves as chairman of the Student Foundation
and previously served as director of education and funds
manager. In these roles, Roman made efforts to educate
the student body on the mission of and opportunities
within the Student Foundation and to develop innovative
avenues for revenue generation

Roman has served as chairman of the Budget Committee
for the 67th Student Senate, allocating budgets of $13.78
million and $13.9 million to various student-led
organizations, initiatives and entities of the Florida State
University Student Government Association. He received
an award at the Sunfest Music Festival and continued his
involvement in the music community by performing in
the Florida State University Marching Chiefs during his
freshman year. Roman is a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon
and currently serves as vice president of finance for the
fraternity. He was a research assistant for Dr. Sarah
Fulmer, in the College of Business Department of
Finance, where he worked on the project "Influences of
Political and Lobbying Contributions on Enforcement
Costs Assessed to Firms," an extension of which he
presented at the 14th Annual Undergraduate Research
Symposium.
