Aggregate Association Announces Executive Director
Georgia Public Affairs Executive Brings Wealth of Experience to Position
The Georgia Construction Aggregate Association is pleased to announce that long-time Georgia public affairs
executive Jeff Wansley has been chosen to serve as its new Executive Director.
Wansley most recently served as Vice President of Government Affairs for the Metro Atlanta Chamber, where
he was responsible for the development and execution of the organization’s legislative and political strategy.
Prior to that role, he was Assistant Vice President of Governmental Relations at Equifax and oversaw legislative
matters in 25 states. Wansley has also served as a Senior Regional Manager for the National Association of
Manufacturers, a trade association for nation’s largest manufacturing companies.
“As we look to the future of our organization, we could not be more excited about having someone with Jeff
Wansley’s expertise and credentials serve in this leadership role,” commented David Grayson, President,
Southeast Division, of the Vulcan Materials Company and Board President of the Georgia Construction Aggregate
Association. “He brings a breath of experience, level of energy, and commitment to our state that we are
confident will benefit our members and help us effectively communicate the important role our industry plays
every day. He will also provide expert guidance as we work to build stronger relationships with elected officials
across our state.”
Wansley began his career on Capitol Hill, working for former United States Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich,
and has built on that experience for over two decades, earning his reputation as a highly respected public affairs
professional. Throughout his career, Wansley has worked on behalf of leading companies and business
organizations at the local, state and federal level.
“I am honored to be given this opportunity to be part of an organization whose members are such an essential
part of our state’s success,” said Wansley. “I look forward to working with our Board and staff to ensure that
the Georgia Construction Aggregate Association is not only a strong resource for our members, but also an
effective advocate for an industry that is literally the foundation of our economy.”
Wansley succeeds John Cardosa, who retired earlier this year. He is a graduate of Georgia College & State
University, where he is an active member of the Board of Trustees. He is a former chair and current member of
the board of Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities and also serves on the operations board of the Commerce
Club. He lives in Atlanta with his wife and daughter.
