Banson NYC High School Fashion Summer Camps Students in 9th-12th grade interested in fashion should apply
today! This opportunity offers two week-long sessions that will teach students the fundamentals of the
fashion industry by providing an insider’s perspective. Students stay in the LIM College Residence Hall on the
Upper Eastside, visit key players in the fashion industry, attends seminars and lectures and so much more.

Broyhill Leadership Conference BLC is open to rising 10th through 2015 high school graduates who are
interested in personal development and leadership training. This conference takes place at Wingate College in

Camp Neuro Students interested in exploring careers in medicine should apply to Camp Neuro. This program
is run by local medical students in 11 cities nationwide and is a one-week summer camp open to high school

Free Enterprise Leadership Challenge Students who are rising sophomores, juniors and seniors interested in

NCSU Biotechnology and Life Sciences Summer College (SCIBLS) NCSU is offering a summer program for high
school rising juniors and seniors in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. All SCIBLS courses meet July 6July 31, 2015 and meet from 9:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday and it is a combination of lecture and

NCSU Summer Textile Exploration Program (STEP) NCSU’s College of Textiles is offering a week-long summer
program for rising high school seniors. There are 4 week-long sessions with up to 30 students per session.
Students will live on campus and will learn about the departments, degrees, scholarships and opportunities

NCSU Young Investigators’ Summer Program in Nuclear Engineering Are you interested in what role nuclear

NYU PreCollege New York University offers rising juniors and seniors the opportunity to earn college credit

QuestBridge College Prep Scholars Students are uniquely prepared to gain admission and full scholarships to
top tier colleges through QuestBridge. Typical scholars are among the brightest low-income high school
juniors who have shown academic excellence despite facing economic challenges. Eligible students must have
an unweighted GPA of 3.5 or above and come from families earning less than $60,000 annually (for a typically

Redesigning Our Future Two leading organizations - the Center for the Environment at Catawba College
and Rocky Mountain Institute - are partnering to provide an opportunity for young environmental leaders to
learn, create, share, interact, grow, connect, and build relationships. You know you have unique talents and
particular interests; at Redesigning Our Future, you will learn the skills needed to use your passions to create a
sustainable world. The summit is open to students who will be 14-17 years of age by the time of the 2015
summit. The student portion of the 2015 Summit tuition for students is $490. This covers most of the cost of

Tar Heels Girls State A week long opportunity to learn about the workings of local and state government using
hands on experience where you can form a local non-partisan government with other citizens from your “city”
and elect state officials and a governor on Friday. Requirements: Must be 16-17 years old to attend (rising
senior), Must be in the upper third of your class, Be a NC resident for at least 1 year and be eligible for US
Citizenship (unless already a citizen) The summer session is June 14-20, 2015 at Catawba College in Salisbury,
NC. Cost: $400 per person includes room, meals, information packet, 2 uniform shirts and all activities for the
week. Citizens are required to attend an orientation that is most convenient for them before attending THGS.

UNC Splash UNC Chapel Hill hosts a one-day opportunity for high school students to take unique classes
ranging from Marine Biodiversity to Cake Decorating, or from Sports Medicine to Computer Programing.
Students in 9th-12th grade can take as many classes as you want from 8:00-4:00 on Saturday, April 11 and all

Programs vary in duration, restrictions in age, receiving college credit and deadlines. Programs include High

Grade Power ACT/SAT Student Survey Grade Power Learning (formerly Oxford Learning) is interested in
understanding High School student’s attitudes towards SAT/ACT Test preparation. These attitudes will be collected in a
brief survey of approximately 8-12 questions. Grade Power is looking for 4 students to help them collect 20 surveys per
student. Students may promote survey through groups, friends, online (facebook) or offline. Grade Power Learning will
provide survey information and link to the survey. Student compensation includes $100, a free ACT/SAT practice test,

High School Apprenticeship Program This is a highly selective, commuter program for high school juniors and
seniors who demonstrate an interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). HSAP is
an Army-funded university research laboratory. Students receive an educational stipend equivalent to $10 per

ISV Student Ambassador Program The International Student Volunteer program is an opportunity for juniors
and seniors to represent their country and volunteer abroad during the summer with other student volunteer
ambassadors. The program is 4 weeks long: 2 weeks of volunteer service, and 2 weeks of exploration of the

NC Youth Conservation Corps (NCYCC) NCYCC is a partnership between the Conservation Trust of North
Carolina and the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps that gives students the opportunity to make a lasting
