Autumn 2015
Fryshuset opens elementary school (grades 7-9) in Kista. In autumn 2016 we
will move into the newly built premises in Fryshuset Husby on Lofotengatan 32-36. Fryshuset
has for many years successfully operated a primary school in Hammarby Sjöstad, where 98% .
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES AND EXPECTATIONS. Fryshusets elementary school have knowledge
goals in focus. Our goal is that all students should have the oppor- tunity to apply to high school. Therefore,
it becomes the teachers task to make clear what is expected of students to achieve learning objectives, varying teaching so that all may learn and to follow up and give feedback to students s o that they know where
they stand.
SOCIAL GOALS. We are passionate about our mission and we build relation- ships with all students so
that they are seen, appreciated and acknowledged every day. We want our students to develop curiosity,
initiative and communication skills.
PROJEKT. Fryshuset Elementary School works with 2-3 projects during an academic year. The aim of the
project weeks is to develop the student’s creativity, leadership and team building. Project weeks creates
a sense of belonging and community where diversity becomes an asset for a c ommon goal.
PASSIONATEINTEREST
Common to Fryshusets schools is that we combine education with passionate hobbies led by professional
leaders. Combining study with a passion creates greater motivation and commitment from the students,
which in turn generates a higher quality standard on the projects combined with a lot of fun. On Fryshusets
elementary school in Husby, you can choose one of these passions: Basketball, Dancing, Football or
Creation that you are engaging three hours a week.
BASKETBALL. In basketball training, you improve your individual skills in basketball, ie, making a
basket, passing, understanding of the game mechanics, etc. The coaches are leaders from the basketball
world and are used to form basketball player from the age of 13-16. Fryshuset Elementary School will
participate in diferent basketball events and we are happy if you want to keep playing for your own
basketball club aswell.
DANCE. While dancing, you develop technique, sense of rhythm and coordination, but also the joy of
movement and the ability to express oneself with the body. The emphasis of the dance lies in hip hop and
street dance.
FOOTBALL. In soccer training, you get an opportunity to develop as a footballer and balance school
studies. In soccer training you learn to reach a goal and develop strength both mentally and physically.
The training gives you body movement, joy, solidarity and stamina.
CREATION. This passion allows you to expand your creativity, empathy and expression to full capacity.
You will get the opportunity to try different kinds of techniques and areas, and after receiving a versatile
base, you then have the tools and knowledge to specialize in any specific area.
