Late airline passengers cause chaos
TWO late airline passengers insisted on opening the door of a
Gulf Air flight as it was preparing
to take off.
Bahrain’s Embassy in Iran
said two Gulf Air passengers
at Mashhad airport insisted on
opening the door of a Gulf Air
plane after arriving late to the
airport and missing the boarding
time last Sunday.
The embassy issued a response
to what has been circulated in so-
cial media about the incident. It
said five passengers – three Bahrainis and two GCC nationals –
arrived after the announcement
was made for closing the airplane
door.
However, the GCC nationals
protested to Gulf Air officials and
airport authorities, insisting on
opening the plane door in violation of procedures despite being
alerted on security proceedings.
The embassy added that the
passengers caused confusion at
the airport while one of them
filmed the arguments.
Bahrain’s Embassy in Tehran
sought clarification from Gulf
Air director at Mashhad Airport
Jassim Gharib who said that the
Bahraini citizens apologised and
left the next day to Bahrain.
Gulf Air also facilitated the
traveling arrangements of the
other GCC nationals on another
Gulf Air flight the same day.
