Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The minimum commitment is 8 hours/week for a minimum of 3 months. This role can
be filled by multiple individuals to cover the entire work week.

poverty. We do this with the support and assistance of volunteers, donors of goods to our ReStores, individual

JOB SUMMARY
Habitat for Humanity Wellington Dufferin Guelph is seeking a volunteer who is organized, efficient, flexible, energetic
and personable for the position of ReStore Donations Procurement. The ReStore is a unique retail environment that
sells new and used donated building supplies, home improvement merchandise and furniture to the public. The role
is responsible for assisting with the management of product donations and the donation process from beginning to
end, including donor leads, evaluation of donations, scheduling, logistics, procurement and follow up.
The volunteer should be a self-starter with experience developing and maintaining relationships around Wellington
and Dufferin Counties with donors. This opportunity requires strong customer service and communication skills as
well as the ability to solicit donations (from both businesses and individuals) on a perpetual basis, based on the
needs of the ReStores.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work with ReStore team to identify needs, coordinate product delivery and storage, and analyze potential
donations and impact of procurement to the net profit.
• Research listings of current and potential affiliate and ReStore contributors, retailers, contractors,
manufacturers, distributors and vendors of product for potential donations.
• Maintain strong donor relationships and partnerships with local area businesses to build a quality base of
donors through cold calling, networking, soliciting, etc. and keep record of cold calls, donor contacts per month
and results. Identifies, qualifies and obtains commitments for building materials, products, supplies for
ReStores.
• Support staff and attend trade shows and other local events in developing donor relationships.
• Complete supporting documents for tax receipt purposes as required.
• Support development and distribution of marketing materials for potential donors.
• Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE:
• Detail oriented with strong customer service skills.
• Flexible in dealing with an ever changing donations schedule.
• Able to creatively think outside regular business processes, presenting unique ways to partner within the
community for donated product.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); specifically Office 365.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Comfortable with cold calling and solicitation.
Valid Driver’s License would be an asset.
Understanding of geographical locations within Wellington, Dufferin, and Guelph.
