Carefully read the information in the Exhibition
Handbook (handbook.ecuad.ca) regarding usage
of school equipment.

Read this form over carefully, fill in all sections
in Adobe Acrobat, then print out your completed
form (black and white is fine.) If you have trouble filling out the form on screen, print the blank
form and write legibly by hand.

Have your Faculty Advisor date + sign your form.

Hand in the completed and signed form to a
technician in room 203E by March 31. If you are
requesting a computer, the technician must initial
+ date your form at the time you hand it in.

• You’ll also need to fill out an Application to Exhibit form in addition to your equipment requests.
• Display lighting, electrical cords , and headphones are not available to borrow from the school.
• Internet/wireless network connectivity cannot be guaranteed for any project in the show.
Plan for your display to be able to function entirely offline without an internet connection.

We have a limited supply of equipment
available, which will be allocated on a
first-come, first served basis.
• Computers will be configured to spotlight your project and minimize any
other type of computer functionality.
• Computers will not have internet access:
your files will run locally.
• Keyboards and mice are generally not
provided unless you ask for them.
• It is highly recommended that you
consult with a computer technician
ASAP regarding graduation projects
using computers.

We have a limited supply of equipment. A/V will process requests
in the order that they are received. You will be contacted by A/V via
your Emily Carr email for clarification and to book an equipment
pick up time.
ipad (visit the Library)

We have a limited number of iPads, and
priority will go to interactive projects
that make specific use of the iPad or
touchscreen.
ipad support
Emily Carr’s iPads belong to the Library.
I.T. and A.V. technicians generally do not
provide support for iPads.
• If you have questions about the iPads
themselves and the school’s policies
about borrowing and usage, please
contact the Library.
• If you have questions about setting up
and displaying your specific project,
please contact Communication Design

power + connectivity
• You are responsible for making sure the
iPad stays powered up during the show.
The library iPads come with the standard
charger cable, but not an extension
cord. Be prepared to supply and secure
your own extension cord if your display
space is not next to an electrical outlet.
• Plan your iPad project so that it can
display entirely offline and doesn’t need
an internet connection.
• If you need to download anything from
the App Store to the Library iPad for
your project, you’ll need to sign in with
your own Apple account (and sign the
default Library account out.) The iPads
come with a range of apps pre-installed,
so you can also check with the Library
in advance to see whether the app you
need is already included.
display cases
• School iPads can’t be displayed without
one of the school security cases.
• Can display vertical or horizontal iPad.
• Can be mounted either to plinth or wall.
Cannot be mounted to school tables.
• Cannot be painted. Adhesive vinyl is ok.
• Front panel allows for use of home
button and front-facing camera.
