Position title: Reports To: Language Arts Multicultural Program (LAMP) Program Teacher Language Arts Multicultural Program (LAMP) Program Coordinator / Youth Services Program Manager Job Location: Assigned School Facilities FSLA: Non‐exempt Accountability: This position is responsible for the planning and implementing of the daily lessons that are consistent with the goals and objectives of the Language Arts Multi‐cultural Program (LAMP). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  Knowledge of basic instructional methods, processes and practices in a learning environment.  Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar.  Knowledge of basic arithmetic including concepts and rules of addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, and division.  Skill to teach others to do something.  Skill in talking to others to convey information effectively.  Ability to understand written sentences and paragraphs.  Ability to train staff, volunteers, parents and others when needed.  Ability to compile and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual written and statistical reports.  Ability to communicate effectively with parents, teachers, students, and school personnel.  Ability to work cooperatively as an effective team member of HCEOC and the schools. Minimum Qualifications:  College degree in education or related  Or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills and ability to perform the essential functions of the job.  Must possess a valid driver’s license with no restrictions or serious violations.  Provide a driving abstract prior to hire and updated annually.  Must be able to pass DOE background and drug testing.
