Toio Lamp
Even though the object is very environmentally friendly and uses
materials from other objects, I would argue that there are a few
issues with it.
First of all the shape will not appeal to everyone’s taste. This is
because it is very old fashioned. This is not necessarily a negative
point, however it means that someone with a modern expensive
house is not very likely to buy this lamp, and I say modern expensive house because the Toio lamp costs about 700 Euro (586 British pounds). Then there is the choice of colour, or the lack of it as
the lamp only comes out in black and red. Structure wise, the Toio
lamp is adjustable and can reach a height of more than 2 meters
(6 feet 6 inches) when fully extended. My question is this: since
the light bulb is facing the ceiling in a fixed position, what is the
point of it being so tall? The light will be spread best across the
room the further the lamp is from the ceiling so to make it so tall
is pointless in my eyes.
