About HCT Group
HCT Group is the world’s leading transport social enterprise, delivering contracts won in
the marketplace and reinvesting profits into high social impact transport services in the
communities we serve.
Revenues are generated from contracts to deliver a wide range of transport services –
from London red buses to social care transport, from school transport to Park and Ride,
from community transport to independent travel training. We currently operate from depots
in London, Yorkshire, Bristol and the Channel Islands.
As a social enterprise, we reinvest profits from these contracts into transport services that
ensure the mobility of the most vulnerable and marginalised in our society, so that they
can access jobs, education and services. We also reinvest profits into training services
for people who are long-term unemployed and into employment opportunities for people
in deprived communities.
At HCT Group, we believe that the best way to be a sustainable social enterprise is to, in
the first place, be an effective enterprise. The contracts that we win and the surplus that
we make enable us to have a social impact.
Job Summary:
HCT Group has successfully grown year by year into one of the largest and most
successful social enterprises in the UK. We want to continue this growth and deliver more
transport services to our community.

colleagues on the pricing model and requisite business judgements for a large Special
Educational Needs transport contract for a local authority, participating in or leading a kickoff meeting with senior executives for writing a public bus tender, and working with the bid
team on updating bidding resources.
The Commercial Bid Managers are central to the bid team, influencing and in some
cases taking ownership of the commercial and financial structures of our bids. Using
commercial acumen and bid management techniques, the Commercial Bid Manager will
help to mould each bid to maximise the chances of success.
We are therefore looking for people with good commercial sense, who enjoy working
collaboratively and on a variety of projects. This role will fit someone who is looking to
