
Bake a Cake for Nepal – as you all know, the recent earthquake in Nepal has devastated the country and
the people. Do you wish you could do something to help? You can! All you need to be able to do is bake a
cake. If you’re interested in finding out more, come to a meeting in room #105 (the ILC room) on
Wednesday during lunch.

Golf Team – be ready to leave at 11:30am, meet at front of the school.

Girls’ Soccer Players – please bring fees to Mr. Bakker in room #213 ASAP.

Eco Team – meeting at high noon today in room #217. Come ready to pull broome and pick up permission
slips.

Track & Field – athletes should meet at the Vanier track at 8:30am tomorrow. Be sure to be prepared for
the weather with sunscreen and a hat. There will be a concession, but you may want to pack some healthy
food too.

NI Math Contest –Michaela Yun won the juniors math competition. Congratulations!

This week is National Child & Youth Mental Health Week – Did you know that if you are tired or
hungry, your brain is more likely to worry or to feel anxious about something that it might otherwise be able
to handle just fine? It sounds obvious, but getting a good night’s sleep and eating well can make the biggest
difference in how you feel and how you can handle stressful situations. Take care of yourself by resting and
relaxing and enjoying yummy food that nourishes you and your spirit.

Variety Night – Interact is hosting its annual Variety Night on Friday, May 8, at 7:00pm in the MP room.
There will be amazing entertainment (skits, music, singing, magic, etc.), as well as tasty treats. Tickets are
$10/person or $20/family, and will be available at the door.

Chili at lunch – chili for lunch on Wednesdays in the main foyer. $3/bowl.
WORK EXPERIENCE

Fun Fair Volunteers – Aspen Park Elementary needs volunteers for their Fun Fair on May 29, from
4:00pm to 9:00pm. Please sign up in the WEX office.
GRADS

Grad Transitions – please check the list on the WEX office window to see if you have completed your
grad transitions. THEY ARE DUE!!!

Minuet Practices – cancelled today, next practice on Thursday at lunch time.

Guest List for After Grad Celebration - If you are planning to bring a guest to this event on
Mt. Washington, you need to sign up in the main office. Cost for a guest is $70. Deadline for requesting a
guest to be included is Friday, May 15.
