THE CULTURE CLUB
On Thursday 9th April, the Culture Club
will be seeing “The Secret Adversary” by
Agatha Christie at the New Wolsey
Theatre, Ipswich. The production is part
of the 125th anniversary celebrations of
the author’s birth. This new adaptation is
a gripping thriller that follows the daring
and dizzying adventures of Tommy and
Tuppence through 1920s London. It is
filled with fast-paced action, comedy, live
music and a dash of romance.

COMMUNITY HALL ON THURSDAY 9th MARCH, 7.30 pm

They travelled on by wagon train, finally
reaching Oregon where they set up a
ranch. During their time there they faced
not only Indians, but cougars, rattlesnakes
and wild bears and it sounded as if Mrs
Cupper was as handy with a shotgun as
her husband, sometimes facing these
dangers on her own to protect her
children.
We had a very interesting and stimulating
meeting in March when
Mr Geoffrey Robinson described the
amazing journey made by Henry Cupper
of the Framlingham area and his equally
courageous wife and three young children
in the 19th Century, across the Atlantic in
the middle of January to reach New York.
They then went by train across the United
States to California. During this long
journey a fourth child was born on the
train but unfortunately did not survive.
Our next meeting on the 7th April has as
a speaker Mr Phil Hadwen. Again it is
history but this time on the History of
Felixstowe (part 2). We heard Part 1 last
year and now look forward to the sequel.
