Dear Parents
Newly elected SGB members
Congratulations on the election of the new SGB members. We have a vibrant, dynamic team to take the school forward over
the next few years and I am really looking forward to working with the new team. Please note that the SGB can be contacted
at: [email protected]
2nd Deputy Principal Position
Shortlisting and interviews were held for this position in March, however the selection panel was not able to recommend any
of the candidates. A new selection process will be held in the next few months and we hope to be able to recommend a suitable
candidate for the school. Parents will be informed as soon as a candidate is appointed.
Thank you
This is a wonderful school and the passion and commitment shown by staff, SGB members and parents to contribute and make
a difference affirms this. We are all working hard to ensure that Hyde Park High School is the school of choice for pupils and
parents who want to be at an institution which is a great place to grow up!
Please feel free to make contact with the SGB at any time.
Kind Regards
Dave Drinkwater
Chairperson SGB

SPORTS REPORT : From the sports desk
Term two has started with a bang. We have had some great successes in our derby days against Bryanston High and
Eden Glen, with most of our teams registering wins over the opposition. Our Rugby team has been successful so far
with a win over Allen Glen High School and a draw against Edenvale High.
Girls and boys hockey have had good starts to their season. Netball started their
season in good spirits, with many of their league games being tightly contested.
The tour to Hillcrest High School was a great success with all the teams gaining
great experience. The learners had a wonderful time and were well hosted by
Carter High School.
We continue to grow our
sport as a school and wish
our Cross Country team
good luck for their season
with their first meeting on
Friday 24th April 2015 at
Delta Park.
