Presenter Biographies
Stewart Brown became employed full time as the Dial-In Manager for
the Metropolitan Washington Ear in May 1999. He was promoted to
Program Manager in November 2012. He was a volunteer reader for the
Ear for a year before being employed as the part-time Dial-In manager in
1993. He holds a Chief Engineer’s License and was a Marine Engineer
with Shell Tankers (UK) Ltd. for 10 years, before taking up employment
as Senior Shift Charge Engineer/Safety Engineer in an operational power
Plant in Dubai, UAE. He was then employed as a Consultant Engineer
with an international UK based firm in Abu Dhabi, UAE. He is a graduate
of South Shields Marine & Technical College in Newcastle, England
Darlene Chapman-Holmes is Director of Customer Development at
National Public Radio where she oversees the PRSS, Marketing and
Communications and NPR Satellite Services distribution teams. She is
responsible for client relations for over 430 public radio stations
managing the content depot, training, and customer support to stations
and producers across the U.S. She also manages the commercial accounts
for the NPRSS. Prior to coming to NPR, she worked in digital media,
sales and marketing divisions for Vobile, an emerging software
technology company. Prior to Vobile, she served as Senior Director of
Affiliate Sales at Retirement Living Television. She was responsible for
distribution for the U.S. and managed the sales staff for sales. She brings
20 years of experience as a veteran of Sales and Marketing, having
worked at various networks including MTV Networks, Nickelodeon,
Discovery Channel, TLC, BET, AmericanLife TV Network. In addition
to her professional career accomplishments, Chapman has shared her
talents with several organizations including, The Executive Leadership
Council (ELC), Emma Bowen Foundation, National Association of
Minorities in Communications (NAMIC), Merge Youth Ministry, Women
in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) to name a few. In 2006-2007, she
was named one of Cable’s Top 100 influential women in Cable. She has
sat on various boards including Girls Inc.,and Women in Cable
Telecommunications board for Mid-Atlantic Chapter and was previously
a board member of Heartshare of NY.

Chapman earned a B.S. degree in Advertising and Marketing from the
School of Journalism at the University of Maryland. She lives with her
husband, and their two daughters in Maryland.
Danielle Tharp Clore is the executive director/CEO of Kentucky
Nonprofit Network, Inc. In this role, Danielle provides overall leadership
for the Network and also specializes in consulting in the areas of board
governance, strategic planning and fundraising. Danielle held leadership
positions at the Commonwealth Fund for KET, Eastern Kentucky
University, Special Olympics Kentucky and Christian Care Communities
prior to her position with KNN. She holds a bachelor’s degree in
psychology from Transylvania University and a master’s degree from the
University of Kentucky Martin School of Public Administration. She is a
2012 graduate of Leadership Kentucky. Her active community service
experience includes Girl Scouts of Kentucky’s Wilderness Road Council,
the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Bluegrass board of
directors, United Way of the Bluegrass Get on Board Advisory Council,
Family Counseling Service board of directors, and the Kentucky
Commission on Women Foundation board of directors. She is a native of
Bardstown, grew up in Pineville and now resides in Lexington with her
husband and two children.
Maryfrances Evans currently serves as the Executive Director for the
Iowa Radio Reading Service (IRIS). A Des Moines native, she built her
television broadcast career as a producer/director for CBS affiliate KCCI.
Maryfrances spent more than 26 years at KCCI, growing through the
ranks from entry-level assistant to newscast director to management.
In 2006, Evans realized her greatest dream through the adoptions of infant
daughters and left KCCI to focus on parenting. She rejoined the fulltime
professional world as Executive Director of IRIS in 2010, finding a
perfect fit in the technical, nonprofit and radio reading service
communities.
Evans served on the FCC’s Video Programming Accessibility Advisory
Committee in 2011 and graduated from the Greater Des Moines
Leadership Institute in 2012. She currently serves on the IAAIS Board of
Directors and the Durand Heritage Foundation Board.

Jason Frazier is MindsEye’s Community Outreach Director. He handles
the public relations and marketing. His other duties include overseeing
fundraising event logistics, hosting MindsEye’s “Ear to Ear” talk show,
and developing the station’s audio description program.
MindsEye is Jason’s primary place of employment. However it is not his
only one. The proud SIU-Edwardsville alum also works for St. Louis’
ESPN Radio Affiliate and is a soft skills instructor for Code Red
Education. Some of his accolades outside of work include being selected
to Focus St. Louis’ Spring Emerging Leaders Class of 2015 and he also
serves on the events committee for Launch STL. Jason has full plate
ahead of him this summer. In July will assume the role of President for
the St. Clair Valley Rotary Club. However he will not be able to attend
his district’s change over event to recognize this honor on June 27th
because he is getting married on that same day.
One fun fact about Jason is that he is a former NCAA Division III athlete.
By looking at him you will never be able to tell what sport.
Barbara Harrington, founder of Sponsorship Plus, has created
and implemented ethical sponsorship programs for scores of clients
(of all sizes!) in markets across the country from Best Friends
Mentoring in Dickinson, North Dakota to The Hope Center in
Lexington, Kentucky to The Colorado Symphony in Denver,
Colorado.
Clients often credit her Educated Sponsorship Pitch (ESP) model as
the key to aligning real-world solutions for sustainable sponsorship
success. She works closely with clients to create sponsorship
programs that deliver results to the organization as well as drive sales
for corporate decision-makers.
Barbara’s is part of Bank of America’s prestigious National
Nonprofit Impact Speakers Series. She’s often referred to as the
Suze Orman of sponsorship -- high energy, knowledgeable and
generous in sharing her expertise. She has published three
sponsorship books The Essential Sponsorship Toolkit, The Essence
of Sponsorship and Advance Sponsorship Sales.

Hap Houlihan, General Manager. Hap is a Lexington native and cofounder of Local First Lexington. A Miami University graduate, Hap has
worked in various capacities across the media industry, with former
employers and clients such as the University Press of Kentucky, Ace
Magazine, Kentucky for Kentucky, and Jim Gray for Mayor. Until
recently, Hap was employed as manager of the Morris Book Shop since
its "re-establishment" in 2008. He has extensive experience as a
commercial and creative writer and editor, and volunteered for eight years
at WRFL as a DJ and assistant music director. Hap lives with his wife,
Lori, and sons, Murphy and Simon, in Lexington. we're collectively
known as Lexington Community Radio (both stations). Our first station,
due to start in July, is WLXL and our second station, due to start in late
2015 is WLXU.
Amy Hatter has served as Executive Director of Radio Eye since 2011.
She started at Radio Eye in 2008 as an AmeriCorp VISTA member and
was hired on as a staff member in 2009. Amy graduated from Eastern
Kentucky University in 2008 with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in
Sociology. Amy currently serves on the IAAIS board of directors as the
treasurer.
Amy’s accomplishments at Radio Eye include helping with expansion of
radio service to the Greater Louisville Area and Eastern Kentucky,
expanding service statewide through NFB-Newsline, and implementing a
new system which allows for the 24-hour broadcast of locally produced
programming.
Amy has directed Radio Eye’s participation in 5 online giving challenges
over the past 3 years.
Stuart Holland, president, IAAIS. An IAAIS Board member since
2001, Stuart has been editor of the IAAIS Report, member of the
Executive Committee, chair of International Outreach, and 1st and 2nd
vice-president. At conferences, Stuart has conducted workshops on many
different aspects of radio reading services. Stuart has been the manager of
the Minnesota Radio Talking Book Network since 2000, in previous
positions as broadcaster and program/volunteer coordinator since 1986.

He supervises 8 paid staff and over 500 unpaid staff (volunteers), in the
main studios and in six local newspaper reading sites, and works with the
agencies that provide resources for these sites. He provides continuing
education in oral reading to the volunteers. Stuart also has extensive
community volunteer experience in a variety of settings. His education is
in theater, music, Liberal Arts, and administration. He has also published
writings nationally in a wide variety of settings and is a working actor and
musician.
Derrick Jack brings energy and ideas to his clients. He has developed his
skills to generate ideas, and then create plans for implementing them.
Currently he has clients in universities, insurance, non-profit and
community organizations. However, he is always seeking out new areas
and industries to spread the strengths revolution. In particular, he seeks
out opportunities to work with managers and supervisors to increase
productivity, impact, collaboration, and/or engagement of their team.
Derrick has a master’s degree in social work with areas of concentration
in adult learning theory, organizational theory and opportunity youth.
He is uniquely able to use both the Clifton StrengthsFinder and the
Entrepreneurial StrengthsFinder to more fully serve venture capitalists,
investors, entrepreneurs, economic developers, educators and mentors.
Reviving the entrepreneurial spirit in our local communities is vital to our
country's position in the world and he is fully committed to finding and
coaching those with high levels of entrepreneurial talent.
Georgan Johnson-Coffey Serves as Manager of the Audio Reading
Service at the Allen County Public Library. She joined the organization in
April of 2014, Georgean is a national consultant and trainer in the areas of
nonprofit management and volunteer involvement. Prior to consulting and
training, Georgean held a number of volunteer resources management
positions in healthcare, local government and social services, including
Eckhart Public Library in Auburn, Indiana; St. Joseph Hospital; Lutheran
Life Villages in Fort Wayne and in a previous position at the Allen
County Public Library.
She holds a Master's in Education/Staff Training and Development and a
Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Indiana University. She served as an
Editorial Reviewer for The International Journal of Volunteer

Administration. She has been published in the Florida Libraries Journal
and The Bottom Line: Managing Library Finances. She has served as
Adjunct Faculty member for Indiana Institute of Technology and Ivy
Tech Community College.
Georgean served as a contributing editor to volunteertoday.com, a highly
regarded e-zine for leaders in volunteer services management, where she
coordinated a monthly column for leaders of volunteer service in
government.
She is a founding Officer of Northeast Indiana Association of Volunteer
Administration and a former member of the Association for Research on
Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action. Georgean has served as
the Past-Chairperson of the National Government Volunteer Coordinator
Advisory Committee for the Points of Light Foundation in Washington,
DC.
Georgean is also co-owner of Blue Vision Music, a children’s music and
media company with her husband, James Coffey, an award-winning
songwriter, performer and producer. She coordinates marketing, sales,
customer service and business administration. In this capacity she has
served on the board of directors of Women in Toys, Licensing and
Entertainment and held leadership positions with the Children’s Music
Network
Lee Ellen Martin is a 25 year veteran of fundraising. She has worked
with the Explorium of Lexington, Hospice of the Bluegrass and United
Way of the Bluegrass. She is currently a development consultant and
working with several clients in the areas of campaign coordination,
development audits and plans, and training. She has returned to the
Explorium of Lexington as Executive Director in a part time capacity.
Lee Ellen holds the rank of Certified Fund Raising Executive, which is an
independent credentialing agency for development professionals. Lee
Ellen has had an extensive volunteer career serving on the boards of the
Blue Grass Trust, Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Bluegrass,
Junior League of Lexington, Leadership Lexington Steering Committee,
VBS Director at her church, and numerous jobs at her children’s schools.
Lee Ellen is married to Doug an attorney and has two children Reynolds
15 and Ellie 12. She also plays the harp and likes to cook.

Jennifer Nigro has been Coordinator of Volunteers at the Kansas AudioReader Network since 2004. A graduate of the University of Kansas
William Allen White School of Journalism, she has 18 years of
professional experience in electronic and print journalism. During this
time she has witnessed dramatic changes to the media, including the way
newspapers are delivered and read. The conversion to electronic delivery
methods has impacted the day-to-day duties of the Audio-Reader
volunteers who read these publications, and Jen has had to implement
new training strategies and overcome technical, experiential and
attitudinal challenges while transitioning readers to online publications.
Rev. Mr. Jim Obradovich
Jim is President of The Capitol Group, a government relations and public
policy firm located in Des Moines, IA. The Capitol Group represents
trade associations, not-for-profit organizations and businesses at the Iowa
State Capitol. This year is Obradovich's 22nd year of successful lobbying
at the Statehouse.
Rev. Jim is also a Permanent Deacon in the Catholic Church. He was
ordained in 2009. His work in the Church ranges from presiding at
baptisms, weddings and funerals, to pastoral visits at local hospitals and
hospices.
He currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors for the Iowa
Radio Reading Service and is also a member of the Board of Directors for
Calvin Community, a not-for-profit independent living, long term care
and memory care facility in Des Moines.
Prior to establishing The Capitol Group, Jim worked as a reporter and
morning news anchor at WHBF-TV in Rock Island, IL. He began his
broadcasting career as a reporter at WVIK-FM, the National Public Radio
affiliate in the Quad Cities.
Jim grew up on Chicago's southwest side and in the southwest suburbs,
and is a lifelong Cubs and Bears fan. He lives in Des Moines, IA with his
wife of 24 years and their two cats.

Andrea Pasquale has served as the Manager of Programming for
Volunteers at Sun Sound s of Arizona since 2007. Prior to her service
with Sun Sounds she was the Executive Director of the Connecticut Radio
Information System, Inc. from 2001-2006. She began her service in
Radio Reading as a volunteer from 1995-2001.
Pasquale has over 25 years in commercial radio, which has helped her
when it comes to working on program ideas for Sun Sounds. As a
previous radio reading volunteer she understands the volunteer aspect to
the job. She graduated the University of New Hampshire and has been in
radio ever since.
In Connecticut and in Arizona she tries to get involved in the community
as a volunteer for such organization as the Greater Hartford Jaycees,
Public Radio Station KJZZ, and St Benedict’s church. She is the
Recipient of the Raymond E. Baldwin Award presented by the CT Board
of Education and Services for the Blind in 2005.
Tuck Tinsley III, has served as President of the American Printing House
for the Blind since 1989. He began his career as a mathematics teacher at
the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB) in St. Augustine,
Florida, in 1968. During his twenty-one year tenure at FSDB, he was
principal of the School for the Blind from 1981 until 1989 and also served
terms as assistant principal and interim president.
Professional recognition Dr. Tinsley has received includes the 1997
Distinguished Alumni Award in Business and Industry, presented by the
Florida State University College of Education; the 2004 William H.
English Leadership Award, presented by the Council of Schools for the
Blind; the 2008 Robert Bray Distinguished Service Award, presented by
the American Council of the Blind; the 2009 Excellence in Leadership
Award, presented by VisionServe Alliance; and the 2010 Migel Medal,
presented by the American Foundation for the Blind.
Dr. Tinsley is a North American delegate to both the World Blind Union
and the International Council of Education of the Visually Impaired. He
received his undergraduate and Master's degrees from Florida State
University and a doctorate in educational administration from the
University of Florida.

Marjorie Williams is the Executive Director of MindsEye-the Virtual
Newsstand, a reading service serving the Greater St. Louis Area. She’s a
graduate of Marquette University’s Broadcast and Electronic
Communication program and has been with MindsEye for 12 years.
During that time, she has worked in every capacity and every office of
the organization, except engineering but she excels at breaking things.
She is currently First Vice-President of the IAAIS and serves as the
Fundraising and Strategic Planning Chair. Valar Dohaeris.
