BikeWalk Escondido will host a Bike Rodeo at Farr Elementary School on
Saturday, April 18. The event will be held in conjunction with an already planned
health fair.

California State University San Marcos will host a Bike to Campus breakfast during
the campus Wellness Month on Thursday, April 23. The event will include free
breakfast for people who bike to campus, giveaways, complimentary bike
checks, and more.

City of Chula Vista will print pocket-size community bike maps and create a ‘Go
Bike’ section at the annual Go Green, Go Clean event on Saturday, April 25 at
the Otay Ranch Town Center.

City of Coronado will host the Coronado Bicycle Rodeo and Safe Cycling Festival
in early May. The community event will include bicycle registration, safety
information, bicycle maintenance, giveaways, and more.

City of La Mesa will host the La Mesa Community Bicycle Rodeo and Safety
Training on Saturday, May 2 at MacArthur Park. The event will include giveaways,
a bike scavenger hunt, and prizes for schools to award students who bike to
school during Bike Month.

City of Oceanside will host bicycle safety lunch-time presentations and bike
safety checks for city staff the week before and the week of Bike to Work Day.
The seminars will include lunch and raffle prizes to encourage employees to bike
to work.

Mission Hills Business Improvement District will host a free bike-in movie night and
community ride. The evening will include bike safety instruction and promotions
with local restaurants and other businesses.

Point Loma Cluster Schools Foundation will undertake a bike-themed street mural
painting day at the intersection of Voltaire Street and Poinsettia Drive. The
project will include an art contest at Point Loma High School, student
participation, a bike rodeo, and bike maintenance.

San Diego County Bicycle Coalition will publish electronic and print versions of a
San Diego regional issue of BikeLife Magazine. The magazine will provide content
and resources to inspire people to ride their bikes more.

Vista Community Clinic will organize a three part bike and traffic safety
education workshop with incentives for attendance and information on the Vista
Bike Master Plan, a bike rodeo skills clinic, and multiple bike to school days at
Bobier and Maryland Elementary Schools.

Vista Hill SmartCare Integrated Behavioral Health will host the second annual
Ramona Family, Health, Wellness & Safety Fair on Saturday, April 18. The event
will include interactive stations, a bicycle rodeo and obstacle course for children,
raffles, and more.

Vista Skatepark Coalition/The Vista Chamber of Commerce will host the Vista
Bicycle Rodeo in April and a bicycle valet for the Vista Strawberry Festival.

