2015 Banks of the Wabash Classic
The Banks of the Wabash Classic will be held on Saturday, May 23rd and Sunday, May 24th, at the Vermillion County Fairgrounds, Cayuga, Indiana. There will be two shows, including Champion Challenge. Any finished doe may be shown in the Champion Challenge class or regular age appropriate class. Entries in Champion Challenge classes must present proof of championship in the form of the prefix CH or GCH affixed to the animal’s registration or recordation certificate.
All shows are official ADGA sanctioned shows and ADGA rules shall govern. The Junior and Senior doe shows are separately sanctioned. The base date for Junior doe classes will be May 23, 2015 and Senior does will be May 24, 2015. The show will adhere to the National Code of Show Ring Ethics. The judges for this year will be Karen Smith (Ring 1) and Don Bergfield (Ring 2).
Early entries must be postmarked by May 16, 2015, or late fees will apply. Early entries have priority in pen assignments. The show committee will be available to check in dairy goats from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 23, 2015 and 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., Sunday, May 24, 2015. Animals will be released after they have been shown. All breed champions must remain for Best Jr. or Best Sr. Doe in Show. Bedding will not be provided.
A registration or recordation certificate is required for any animal six months of age or older. A registration or recordation certificate or a stamped duplicate application is required for any animal under six months of age. No copies of the registration or recordation certificate, stamped duplicate application, or stamped fax duplicate will be accepted. Any animal without papers will not be permitted in the show ring. It is the exhibitor’s responsibility to be present for their classes. The show will proceed uninterrupted.
Out‐of‐state dairy goats must have health certificates signed by a veterinarian, within 30 days of the show date. In‐state dairy goats are not required to obtain health papers. No unloading of animals until they have been inspected by one of the committee members. If deemed unhealthy, that animal and potentially all animals housed with that animal in transport will be banned from showing.
The Vermillion County Fairgrounds nor Town of Cayuga will not be responsible for any losses, damages, or accidents which could result in personal loss or injury. No dogs and no smoking in the barns or show areas.
Camping is available. You must call the Town of Cayuga for more information. The B.O.W.C. show committee reserves the right to alter the show order to facilitate a smoothly run show. Show order is subject to change.

**The Silent Auction will close at the start of the last breed in Ring 2. Silent Auction winners will be announced just before the Best Sr. Doe In Show.
Wabash Valley Dairy Goat Club Scholarship
As a club, we want to recognize young people for their outstanding achievement(s) in 4-H,
FFA work, leadership, and citizenship; coupled with an involvement in a goat related project
or activity and to help deserving young people continue an education beyond the high
school level.
We believe most successful goat producers possess the qualities of perseverance, integrity and
positivity. The basis of this scholarship is how these qualities are used to become successful;
for example, persevering in meticulously preparing your goat for show and learning the body
parts, modeling integrity to other youth and lastly, seeking opportunities to help others.

Requirements:
1. Applicant must be a high school junior or senior to apply.
2. Applicant for the county scholarship must be a member of the Vermillion County 4-H
goat project.
3. Applicant for the state scholarship must be an Indiana resident, involved in the dairy
goat project.
4. Application must be accompanied by essay and two letters of reference.
5. Application must be postmarked by May 30, 2015. Applications can be turned in to any
member of the Wabash Valley Dairy Goat Club at the Banks of the Wabash Classic, the
weekend of May 23-24, 2015, or sent to the Wabash Valley Dairy Goat Club, 313 East
1200 South, Clinton, IN 47842.
Applicants will be judged by a committee on the quality and depth of their essay.
