Dear Masters, Instructors, Competitors, and Parents,
The 10th Annual Metro Open Taekwondo Championship, hosted by International Martial Arts, is quickly
approaching. Last year's tournament was a huge success and this year we plan to make it even better. The
school with the most participants will receive a 2015 Metro Open Championship Ring and all schools attending
will receive Participation Awards. Our student athletes will get the best award...EXPERIENCE!
Our goal is to run a very organized, well judged, and time efficient tournament. This level of expertise will be
insured by the professionalism and experience of certified masters, referees, instructors, and trained personnel.
We stand by our tradition of fairness, honest judging and officiating. Again this year we are featuring Daedo
TrueScore PSS for Black Belt competitors. We promise to make this a positive experience for all involved.
Your support is greatly appreciated and has contributed to the success of this tournament. We invite you and all
the schools in the tri-state area to join us on Sunday, June 7, 2015. Due to the overwhelming response of last
year's tournament, we will host the 10th Annual Metro Open at SMG SportsPlex at Metuchen in order to better
accommodate more competitors and spectators. This year’s facility is much more spacious and fully air
conditioned ensuring added comfort for all of our staff, competitors, their guests and all spectators. This event
is a great stepping stone for one day achieving the ultimate goal of an Olympic gold medal. Most importantly,
we strive on making this event a lifelong learning experience for all participants regardless of who wins. With
your support, we can achieve that goal.
We are pleased to present a special division to all martial arts students with autism/CP or any other
developmental challenges. Please contact Master Elshikh for more information.
