After The Big Day
You can make reservations at her favorite restaurant. The important thing to remember is to make a reservation. You do
not want to show up at a restaurant and have them be booked
for the night. That is a recipe for disaster. Also, you might
want to consider a time that will be convenient for the both of
you. Take into consideration the amount of time she will need
to get ready. Valentine’s Day is a big day for a girl so they will
need a good amount of time to get ready.
Follow Up
Make sure that after the date is over you that the time to follow up. You should call your date within 48 hours and let
them know you enjoyed yourself. Be grateful she accepted to
go out with you. Although, you want to show that you are
grateful do not over do it and call multiple times.

Be A Creep
Do not be a pervert! Yes, she may look very sexy to you in that
little red dress, but do not touch her inappropriately or stare
at anything other than her face.

Wear Too Much Cologne
On your date, you do want to smell good, but you do not want
to give her a headache from your cologne. When using cologne, limit yourself to one spray, two at the most.

Gifts are a big part of Valentine’s Day. You have to make sure
the gifts for this day are memorable; this is not an ordinary
day. Consider your loved one’s favorite chocolates. There are
a variety of chocolates and on Valentine’s Day chocolates usually come in boxes shaped in a heart. You cannot go wrong
with a heart shaped box.
Be On Your Phone
As soon as you pick up your date your phone should be turned
off or on silent. It is very rude to be out on a date and texting
on your phone, or checking Facebook. If possible, leave your
phone in the car or in your pocket during the entire date. This
will show your date that she has your full attention.

Giving flowers to a loved one is not as simple as it would
seem. Roses are flowers that are usually given during Valentine’s Day. Each rose color signifies something different:

Red/Dark Red- love and affection
Limit the time you talk about yourself. No one likes a person
who is too into themselves. Allow time for her to talk about

Talk About Your Ex
If there is a number one rule of what not to do on a date, it is
to not talk about your ex! This will show her that you are
clearly not over your ex and possible put her in an awkward

Complain
Avoid complaining about anything on the date. If the movie
she chooses is a chick flick and you are the least bit interested; suck it up. It will be over in two hours and she will appreciate that you sat there and never complained. Complaining
on a date can ruin your chances of ever going on a date with

Argue
Arguing ruins the whole date. Unless one of you are bi-polar,
after an argument (depending on how bad it was) it may be
hard to stay in that romantic mood.

Sit or Stand Close To Her
Wherever the date may take you, always try to stay by her
side. If you are walking then put your arm around her or hold
her hand.

When it comes to jewelry you have to be sure your intensions
are not taken the wrong way. When it comes to jewelry the
time the relationship has lasted is important. You don’t want
to overwhelm your date with something too extravagant. Too
much can be bad sometimes.
Smile
If you are happy on this date or she makes you happy then
there is no better way to show it then by smiling.

Be On Time
Get ready and everything prepared at least 30 min before the
date. Giving yourself this extra time will prevent you from being late and rushing through the date.

Stuffed animals would be a good gift in cases where you have
not known the person for too long. Teddy bears are popular
during Valentine’s Day so finding one should not prove to be
much of a challenge.
A Valentine’s Day card can also be a nice unexpected surprise.
Make it short and simple but include a written message.

Set The Mood
To set the mood for the date, when you first pick her up give
her a gentle kiss on the cheek. This will hopefully set ease to
all the nerves. During the car rides you should play calm and
soothing music. Valentine’s Day is a time to be romantic and
show your love; pick a selection of slow music.
As stated, this day is a day of romance, and it may be difficult
to be romantic at loud restaurants, so try picking a place that
is calm. For example, Olive Garden is very quiet so that way
you can have a nice conversation with your date. Rather than
Buffalo Wild Wings, where there is a constant distraction everywhere.

Be Gentle
Make sure you give yourself enough time for whatever you
may have planned on the date. If the both of you are being

Be Respectful
On the big day it is important that you are very respectful.
When you are picking her up make sure you walk up to the

Get Cash
Once you have your attire selected for the date, it is important
to get them cleaned. Most suit materials and dress shirts are
not suitable for the average home washer and dryer. They require more delicate cleaning that Dry Cleaners provide. Be
sure to drop your selected attire off at a local Dry Cleaner. It is
possible to pick your attire up within a 24 hour period of
dropping them off, but it is a good idea to drop them off at
least 3 days before your date. Just in case something happens
to your attire, you will not be trying to get new attire at last
minute.

Be sure to stop by an automated telling machine (ATM) early
in the day on Valentines. You do not want to be late for your
date just because you decided to stop and get cash right before you are to pick her up. There could be an accident on the
road, traffic, or the ATM could be out of order. Getting the
money the day before would be better.
Determine how much cash to withdraw before going to the
ATM. Think about what you have planned for the evening. If
you are taking her out for dinner, be sure to budget the tip
with the estimated dinner cost. It will not hurt to withdraw an
amount above the estimated cost. Being prepared is better

Getting a haircut would be a good addition to looking sharp. Be
sure to set up a hair appointment at a salon or barbershop. If
you do a walk-in without an appointment, you could have to

Clip your Nails
Clipping your nails is very important. You can get a haircut,
shave, and be well dressed, but having untrimmed nails that
collect dirt and other substances underneath them can make all

Grooming yourself can be easily overlooked since it is a regular task, but it should be a priority for your Valentines date.

Dress Up
Once Valentine’s Day has arrived, you will be prepared to
dress up for your date. Waiting to plan out your attire on the
day of the date may bring unnecessary stress, but planning

3. Let the shoes dry. It should take between 10 and 15
minutes to dry completely.
4. Now brush the shoes with the shining brush with a side-toside motion. Be sure to brush the shoes completely.

How to Shine Shoes
You will also need some newspaper or an old towel to put
underneath your shoes to prevent making a mess. Here are
the steps to follow once you have the items you need.
1. Remove dirt from shoes by brushing gently with the shining brush or with a damp rag.
Shining your dress shoes is the last essential when preparing
your attire. Women are very observant of shoes, so she will
notice if your shoes have been collecting dust in the closet, or
if you have taken the time to shine them. Here are the items
you will need to properly shine your dress shoes

Shoe liquid polish or wax polish

Shoe polishing brush


Buffer cloth (soft cloth)
2. Apply a thin layer of shoe polish with the polishing
brush. Apply with a circular motion until you polish all

sponge portion of the container back and forth across the
