Page 2 From the Desk of the Director…. I can not believe another year has come and gone and we are now preparing for a joyous holiday season. I wanted to give everyone on update on a few things that will be occurring over the next few months, but first I wanted to thank you all. You have all been so patient with the renovations and now we only have a few more weeks to go. Your patience has truly been appreciated. December 2015 Center Closures Thursday, Dec 24—close 1pm Friday, Dec 25—CLOSED Thursday, Dec 31—close 1pm Friday, Jan 1—CLOSED Christmas Stockings for Vets All 200 stockings are made! We will be filling them Friday Dec 11 @ 10am. They will be delivered to the VA on Sunday, Dec 13 Items are still needed to fill the stockings: socks, snacks, t-shirts, notepads, toiletries, candy canes All items are needed by December 10 Here are just a few updates and reminders: 1. Our Christmas Party is scheduled for Thursday, December 10 and reservations are needed. Join us for a delicious dinner and great entertainment. 2. In the next few weeks, our annual mail appeal letter will be arriving your mail boxes. I know that at this time of year you are bombarded with organizations asking for money but we hope that you NEW FOOD PANTRY HOURS will find it in your hearts to send RCAC a during construction donation. Christmas in Salem Crossroads Sunday, December 6 4:30 pm—9 pm Step back in time and experience the joy of Christmas. Take an inspirational pilgrimage along the road to Bethlehem depicting live scenes from the First Christmas. This is a 30 minute outside walking journey. Afterwards, you can visit the local churches via bus for food, music and crafts. Cost is $25/person Includes bus and ticket. Limit 27 More info available at the center.
