Nordic Wheelchair Basketball Development Camp and Clinic
Hey you! Are you a youth player or a new wheelchair basketball player that wants to improve your
skills, a beginner coach or referee in wheelchair basketball? Then you are very welcome to
participate in a Development Camp in cooperation with IWBF-Europe on the 29-31 May 2015 in
Gothenburg!
3 different Activities for 3 different groups
Player development – for youth players but also for new “older” players that might have a new injury
and are new to the sport
Coach clinic – for club coaches (new aspiring coaches as for coaches with developing teams)
Referee clinic – for new referees in the game
Instructors
Tutors from Sweden and IWBF-Europe
Malik Abes will be one of the tutors at the camp. He is the National Coach for the Swedish Men’s
Wheelchair Basketball Team, as well as coach for the Top Italian Team of Briantea84 UnipolSai. He is
also a member of the IWBF-Europe development committee with lots of experience in leading
development camps.
Aim
To develop youth and new players in wheelchair basketball skills from a player development plan
perspective in Scandinavia
To educate new and developing coaches in the sport of wheelchair basketball in Scandinavia
To recruit and educate new referees to the sport of wheelchair basketball in Scandinavia
Dates
29-31 May 2015
First session will start at 5 p.m. on Friday and the last session till finish at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
Location
Gothia Arena in Högsbo, Gothenurg
Accommodation
Scandic Mölndal
The hotel is located only 10 minutes by car to Gothia Arena
Fee
A fee of SEK 500 per participant (player, coach or referee). This includes accommodation for 2 nights,
all meals from Friday to Sunday.
Transport
Everyone is responsible for their own transport.
A special deal can be made if someone needs this. Please let us know and we will discuss this matter
you.
