CORE COMPETENCIES COACHING: Teaching and supervising which involves giving directions, instructions and training of the specific field operation of an athletic team or individual athletics. To transfer as much of the knowledge and experience to the players to develop the most skilled athletes. TRAINING AT COMPETITION RATE AND TAPERING: Developing the capacity of performing under high concentrations of lactate at competition pace. Leveling correctly the amount of training previous to the competition in order to come rested to the due day, increasing gradually the intensity of exercise. PRE-COMPETITIVE AND POST-COMPETITIVE DIETS: A balanced diet is a fundamental ally to high performance training, hence to find the foods you can eat on practice days to avoid an upset stomach and/or weakness during competition. Food is the fuel of the body and needs to be supplied appropriately before training and during competition time, as well as it is vital for a correct recovery. CONTROLLING OPTIMAL TRAINING LOADS: Normal training decreases the performance capacity due to tiredness, therefore high performance training requires resting trough the controlled training period to benefit of the overcompensation process, which ensures that the capacity of the athlete before competition is always at its maximum. DEVELOPING MUSCLE STRENGTH FOR TRIATHLON: Scheduling the strength training to maximize performance gains, working out the right muscles of the endurance athlete, and minimizing the risk of injury. DEVELOPING AEROBIC AND ANAEROBIC CAPACITY: Improving the capacity to use the maximum amount of oxygen consumed by the body during intense exercise in a given frame of time. Specific training aimed to the improvement of the maximal aerobic capacity median measured at VO2 max test. High intensity interval training aimed to increase the anaerobic energy expenditure through the recruitment of fast twitch muscle fibers.
