ORIENTATION SCHEDULE
International Student Orientation:
Immigration Documents Check-in: Monday, August 17 OR Tuesday, August 18 between 9:00AM-4:00PM
New International Student Orientation Program and Lunch: Wednesday, August 19, 8:30AM - 1:00PM
Required for F-1 & J-1 international students. No registration necessary.
SOAR Undergraduate Orientation: Thursday, August 21, 2015, 7:30AM – 5:00PM
Required for all undergraduate students. Register at http://unccdso.orgsync.com/org/soar/register_on_line_04062015
OR
Graduate School Orientation: Saturday, August 22, 2015, 9:15AM
Required for all graduate students. Soon you will be able to RSVP for the event by logging into your applicant portal.
Classes begin: Monday, August 24, 2015
NOTE: It is important that you attend BOTH the international student orientation program and either the graduate or the
undergraduate SOAR orientation program!
Checklist of Things to Prepare Prior to your Arrival at UNC Charlotte:

Pay your SEVIS fee http://www.ice.gov/sevis/i901/ and schedule a visa interview www.travel.state.gov

Make housing arrangements either on-campus https://housing.uncc.edu/ or off-campus
http://offcampushousing.uncc.edu/ . On campus housing can only be guaranteed if your application is received
please plan accordingly.

Get your immunizations done. Mail them to the Student Health Center and bring a copy with you.

Think about your required Health Insurance plan (either bring your own plan or purchase from UNC Charlotte.)

by June 1st so

Prepare for academic advising and registration upon arrival at UNC Charlotte. Bring transcripts from your home institution if
necessary.
