natural beauty for those all important pictures.
This charming hotel is situated between the picturesque villages of Ilam and Thorpe.
Named after the famous author of “The Complete Angler”, the hotel is privately owned
and located in an idyllic setting with modern facilities offering a unique combination
of warm hospitality, tranquillity and tradition, whilst maintaining high standards of
service.

The Izaak Walton Hotel is well equipped for any size of wedding you require. The hotel
has a licensed room for civil ceremonies overlooking the spectacular Dovedale Valley
and a choice of rooms for your reception which can hold up to 120 guests.
We have thirty-eight well appointed bedrooms, most of which have wonderful views
over the gardens and the Derbyshire/Staffordshire Peaks.
Our dedicated Wedding Co-ordinator will be pleased to offer you advice and guidance
to assist you in making your wedding day the most memorable day of your lives.
Most importantly this is your special day. This Wedding package is for guidance and
ideas so if you have any special requests or requirements, no matter how big or small
we will be only too pleased to accommodate.
Civil Ceremonies
and Venue Hire
For couples who are considering having a Civil Ceremony or Civil
Partnership, your day will commence with the exchange of vows in one of
our two beautiful licensed indoor areas, or our stunning outdoor location
with the backdrop of the Dovedale Valley and Thorpe Cloud.
Once a date has been provisionally reserved with us, you will need to contact Leek
Registry Office on 0300 111 8000 to ensure they are available to marry you on your
required date. Once the date has been booked with the Registry Office a £1000 deposit
to us will secure your wedding date at the Izaak Walton Hotel.
We can comfortably cater for 80 to 120 people for a Civil Ceremony and/or Wedding
Breakfast. If you are thinking of hosting a function for over 120 people, we can offer
the option of a marquee on the front lawn for an additional cost.
The cost to have your Civil Ceremony or Partnership at the Izaak Walton Hotel is £550.
Please note that the ceremony charge is payable in addition to the fees charged by the
Registrar. A Civil Ceremony or Partnership will last approximately 30 minutes.
The cost of your function room hire at the Izaak Walton Hotel will be £1500. If you book
your ceremony together with the function room hire, the cost will be £1800 inclusive.

Wedding Breakfast
After your Drinks Reception, the Master of Ceremonies will ask your
guests to begin taking their seats and await your arrival for the start of
the Wedding Breakfast, which will take place in the beautiful Haddon
Restaurant overlooking the picturesque Thorpe Cloud.
Our Menu choices are shown across these pages. These are not exhaustive as we can
cater for many needs so please do not hesitate in asking if you have something specific
in mind.
We offer a choice of three separate Wedding Breakfast Menus lovingly prepared by our
Head Chef and tailored to suit all budgets. The cost you pay per person is dependent on
the number of choices you would like for your guests on the day itself.
We ask that you inform us of any special dietary requirements any of your guests may
have at least 4 weeks prior to your Wedding Day.

All Weddings and Functions booked at the Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd by the Client(s) shall be subject to the following:
1. Numbers Attending
a. The Client shall give details of final numbers attending the function when requested by The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd and in any case, not less than three days
beforehand. The acceptance of any increase over the previously advised numbers will be
at the discretion of the Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd. Where the booking includes bedroom accommodation, full details of the number of the persons staying, together
with the type of accommodation and length of stay must be given no less than 14
days prior to the date of arrival or sooner if requested. A minimum of 15 rooms must be booked and the names of those occupying each room must be given at least three
days before the start of the booking.
b. The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd reserves the right to charge in full for any decrease from the final numbers given but in any case, the minimum chargeable
numbers will apply.
2. Information
The Client shall provide on request by The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd, all such information which is available in relation to the Function as may be necessary to
enable The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd to make a fully informed assessment of its
obligations to provide the services.
3. Charges
a. The Client agrees to pay all charges on the due dates, failing which interest will be charged daily at 2% over The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd Bankers Base Rate.
b. Any function for which advance payment is overdue by more than 7 days may be cancelled by The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd and the cancellation fees detailed in
clause 9 will become payable immediately.
c. If there are any queries on any part of an invoice, the Client will pay the undisputed balance of the sum owing on the date due and the remainder on resolution of the
query.
d. The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd reserves the right to withhold or withdraw credit facilities at any time without notice.
4. Advertising
If the general public are to be admitted to the Function the Client should not use names or trademarks of the Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd without prior written
permission and must show all tickets, posters and advertising material to The Izaak Walton Hotel
(Dovedale) Ltd for approval in writing. In all other circumstances this information should be provided by The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd.
5. Liability
a. The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd will be liable to the Client and/or persons attending the function for injuries to persons or loss or damage to property, only where
and to the extent that it has been negligent, but otherwise will be under no liability to
them whatsoever.
b. The Client will be liable for any loss or damage to the property of The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd including walls, light fittings and equipment (including items
hired for their use) or injury to any person including the staff of The Izaak Walton Hotel
(Dovedale) Ltd and indemnify The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd against any loss or liability arising from the function.
c. The Client is advised to consider arranging insurance for the function covering public liability and loss or damage to its property and that of persons attending the
function.
6. General
a. The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd will take all reasonable steps to fulfil the reservation to the best of its ability and in accordance with the details provided. However,
it reserves the right to provide alternative services of at least an equivalent standard
at no additional cost to the Client.
b. The Client shall not be entitled to assign the booking to a third party, or utilise The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd facilities, other than for the purpose agreed without
the prior written approval of The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd.
c. The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd reserves the right to pass on to the client any additional costs incurred.
Whilst The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd has taken all reasonable steps to ensure that the information contained in its brochures, tariffs, leaflets and advertisements is
accurate it reserves the right to alter, substitute or withdraw any service, facility or amenity without notice if necessary.
Prices shown in this brochure are correct for confirmed bookings between 01/04/2015 and 31/12/2015. For weddings booked outside of these dates please discuss rates with
your Wedding Co-ordinator. For all bookings from 01/04/2015 if the prevailling rate of VAT increases The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd reserves the right to increase
your wedding package by the same percantage.
Notwithstanding any item contained in these Terms, The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd will not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations to the Client in whole
or in part as a result of the following circumstances:
a. Strikes.
b. Other Industrial Action(s).
c. Fire at or near The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd.
d. Flood at or near The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd.
e. Civil unrest, dispute or commotion.
f. Act of God.
g. Legal action against The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd, not resulting from its negligence, preventing the supply of services.
7. Clients use of The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd
a. The Client will comply with all the health and safety, licensing and other regulations relating to The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd.
b. The Client will comply with the non-smoking policy within the bedroom and inside of The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd.
c. The Client will not carry out any electrical or other works at The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd, including amplification and lighting without the prior written consent
of The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd.
d. The Client will not bring any dangerous or hazardous items into The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd and remove any such items promptly when requested to do so by a
member of The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd management or any other
authorised person.
e. The Client will not consume any food or drink at The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd not supplied by The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd or its authorised caterers
without The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd’s prior written consent.
f. The Client will not act in an improper or disorderly manner, will leave promptly at the appropriate time and comply with any reasonable request by The Izaak Walton
Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd’s employees.
Any persons or items in breach of these conditions may be refused admission to or be removed from The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd.
8. Cancellation by The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd
The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd may cancel the booking under the following circumstances:
a. if The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd or any part is closed due to circumstances outside its control.
b. If the Client becomes insolvent or enters into liquidation or receivership.
c. If the Client is more than 30 days in arrears with any payment to The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd.
d. If it might prejudice the reputation of or cause any damage to The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd.
In such an event The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd will refund any advance payment made but will have no further liability to the Client.
9. Cancellation by the Client
The £800 deposit is non-refundable and the Full Payment is due 3 weeks before the Event. In the event of the Client cancelling the booking:
a. If the cancellation is 6-12 months in advance, 25% of the final invoice will be due.
b. If the cancellation is 3-6 months in advance, 50% of the final invoice will be due.
c. If the cancellation is 15-30 days in advance, 70% of the final invoice will be due.
d. If the cancellation is 3 - 7 days in advance, 90% of the final invoice will be due.
e. If the cancellation is less than 3 days in advance, the full payment of the final invoice will be due.
No variation of these conditions shall be effective unless in writing and signed on behalf of both The Izaak Walton Hotel (Dovedale) Ltd and the Client. The Agreement shall
be subject to the law of the court.
