A Message from the Owners
2015 sees our second year of our ownership of The Izaak Walton Hotel. There has been
further change with the refurbishment of the Haddon Restaurant and other internal
improvements. Amanda and I, alongside General Manager Shura Prince have been
supported by our growing friendly team. We do hope all those who have visited us this
year have had a memorable experience.
We hope you enjoy our Christmas and New Year Programme and that you will be able to
join us in celebrating some festivities.
Whether celebrating with your family, a loved one, friends or arranging the office party,
we have just the event for you.
From festive lunches and dinners, work parties to private celebrations, or even a 2-3
night ‘stay over’ package for Christmas or New Year, we invite you to indulge in a feast
of festivity. Rest assured, we will take care of every last detail to make your Christmas
experience at The Izaak Walton stress free, fun filled and entirely unforgettable.

Christmas Party Nights
The Christmas Party Nights commence at 7pm. Evening entertainment follows your meal
to ensure your whole party gets into a true festive spirit.
Adults - £30 per person, Children 10 years or under - £15 per child
Prices are inclusive of VAT and novelties. A deposit of £10 per guest is required on booking.

Christmas 2015
Christmas Eve
You will be warmly welcomed on Christmas Eve with roaring log fires, hot mulled wine
and traditional mince pies served in the Dovedale Bar. Settle in your room before making
you way back to the Dovedale Bar at 6.45pm for a pre-dinner Christmas Cocktail served
with canapés to start your evening off before dining in our Elegant Haddon Restaurant.
Sit back, relax and listen as our resident pianist entertains you. After tea or coffee and
truffles in one of our cosy lounges, why not enjoy a nightcap in front of the roaring log fire
in the Dovedale Bar before retiring for the night.
Christmas Day
Breakfast will be served in our Haddon Restaurant, after which there is time to relax in
one of our lounges or take a walk to the nearby famous ‘Stepping Stones’. Residents
will be invited to join us from 12.30pm for a pre-dinner drink and then Christmas Day
Lunch will be served between 1.00pm and 1.30pm in our Haddon Restaurant. Enjoy the
wonderful dishes that our Chef has lovingly created for you whilst enjoying the unrivalled
views of Dovedale and Thorpe Cloud. Our friendly staff will be on hand to ensure your
day continues at leisure. Following dinner the Dovedale Lounge will be available for those
guests wishing to watch the Queen’s Christmas Message. A selection of board games will
also be available from reception. The Izaak Walton Hotel Christmas Evening starts when
the Haddon Restaurant opens its doors to a magnificent carved buffet served between
7.00pm and 8.00pm, created by our Head Chef. Relax and unwind as Christmas Day
comes to a close.
Boxing Day
During the day relax and unwind in one of our lounges or perhaps take a stroll in the
beautiful countryside. A Buffet Lunch will be served between 12.30pm and 2.00pm in
the Haddon Restaurant. Our Boxing Day Dinner will commence at 7.00pm in the Haddon
Restaurant after which dance the night away with live music from the Burgundy Band.

A glass of Champagne each and canapés will be available in the Dovedale Bar to set the
mood for the evening, before dining in our elegant Haddon Restaurant from 7.30pm.
James & Amanda Keay will be your hosts for the evening. Entertainment will be provided
as the countdown to the new year continues. When the clock strikes midnight, raise a
glass and welcome in 2016!
The New Years Eve Gala Dinner Dance commences at 6.45pm with a glass of fizz and
canapés served in the Dovedale Bar. Evening entertainment follows your meal to ensure
you count down to 2016 in style!
New Years Day
During the day relax and unwind in one of our lounges or perhaps take a stroll in the
beautiful countryside. A Buffet Lunch will be served between 12.30pm and 2.00pm in the
Haddon Restaurant. Our New Years Day Dinner will commence at 7.30pm with an A La
Carte menu with music provided by our resident pianist.
We look forward to welcoming you to our New Year Celebrations. Our two day breaks
can start on either the 30th or 31st December.
Prices start from £599 per room for the two night stay.
Prices are based on two people sharing a standard double/twin room.
(Single Occupancy is available from £425-£445).
A deposit of £150 per person is required on booking.
Your stay includes the Gala Dinner & Dance on New Years Eve where the dress code for
the evening is Evening Wear.

1. All restaurant reservations will be held for no longer than two weeks, unless confirmation together with the relevant deposit per person (nonrefundable) has been paid.

2. All accommodation reservations will be held for no longer than one week, unless confirmation has been received together with a £50 deposit per room
(non-refundable) or £150 per person (non-refundable) for House Party dates.
