TAOS LIGHTNING single barrel straight Rye Whiskey 15yr
Ceran St. Vrain was a 19th century Taos
distiller and historical figure of the Taos
Pueblo Revolt. A descendant of French
aristocrats, he started out as a fur trader in
Taos, NM, and went on to become a
Mexican-American War hero, store
proprietor and translator for the military
before starting a mill that supplied the
military with flour. When he died in 1870
more than 2000 people attended his
funeral.
CERAN ST. VRAIN'S is made from 95%
rye aged 15 years in new charred
American Oak. The dry climate and high
elevation in New Mexico create a unique
aging process. CERAN ST. VRAIN'S is
bottled at cask strength.
CERAN ST. VRAIN'S has "an oaky,
sweet nose with hot cereal notes. The
tongue impact is breathtaking: a hot,
thick, slam of spice, mint, and wood that
cools to a long, sweet, mint finish." (Lew

Each barrel is hand selected and chill
filtered. Each bottle is hand bottled,
numbered and dated.
45% ABV (90 proof)
