Annexure-I: Evaluation of children to assess the Quality of Education and Performance of Teachers

4. Identify Colours, Living, non-living things, Parts of body etc.
5. Name of the school, class in which they study, name of parents,
residential address, Contact No of Parents (The same should be written
on student’s notebooks also)
6. Maintenance of Homework Diary for each of the student, regular
homework and class tests.
7. Reading simple sentences, meaning of sentences, singing rhymes,
poems, Addition, Division, Multiplication, subtraction etc.
8. Translation of simple sentences from Kashmiri to Urdu; and also Urdu
to English
9. Name of five Animals, Vegetables, Fruits, Birds, Vehicles, etc.

10. Days in a week, months in a year, Teachers in the school, etc.
11. Spelling of simple letters in day-today use- bicycle, television etc.
12. Today’s date, time on the watch etc.
13. Famous Personalities, Education Minister in the state and Centre, CM,
PM, President, Governor, sports personalities etc.
14. Forms of Verb (Present, Past and past participle), Parts of speech and
its use
15. Districts in J&K, Arithmetic tables (2-10)
Class 6th to 8th
16. Tense Learning (Simple exercises to identify present, past and future
tense)
17. Interest calculation, Percentage Calculation, simple maths exercises
using different formula - Pythagoras theorem, square, area, square
root etc.
18. Essay writing, letter writing, Application for different subjects etc.

The performance of the teachers would be evaluated by observing the performance of children in
this assessment tool, teachers must ensure that the children are able to perform 100% in these
minimum learning-parameters; beside the usual syllabus and curriculum would also be assessed.
