Congratulations on earning a spot on the 2015-16 LCHS Pep Squad!
Here is some important information to help keep you in the loop.
Thursday, April 16 at 2:45 PM – new pep squad meeting in the room 606 – pep members required
Thursday, April 23rd: Used Uniform Sale in Room 606/Practice Clothes Fitting.


Even if you are planning on buying all new uniforms, if you are NEW to Pep you still need to attend to try on the
items for the required spirit pack so you order the correct sizes on the micro-site.
Bring multiple checks for each item purchased as you pay the current owner directly
Thursday, April 30th: Broadway Fitting in Room 606 - Broadway Fitting for new uniform orders (to fill in what you
could not purchase at the used uniform sale):
 Currently on pep squad: 12:45-2:45
 New to pep squad:
o 2:45-3:15 new current 8th and 9th graders to be on JV Songs
o 3:15-4:30 new Pep Members on JV/Varsity Cheer
 $50 deposit per top and $25 deposit per skirt is due at the fitting – check or credit card
 $125 deposit for Letterman – all Members new to Pep will need to order a Letterman Jacket
 Each girl needs to be present, everyone has to order at least something, even if it is only chevron patches for the
letterman and a new pair of cardinal spankees. Parent presence is optional, but make sure the girls have
payment info with them (check or credit card)
 Please be patient as this takes a while. Feel free to bring homework to do while you wait
 Balance due no later than June 5 – Please note that if you pay in full at the fitting, there will still be shipping
charges later as that cannot be calculated at the fitting.

Thursday, May 7:


$100 deposit payment for Summer Camp due, payable to “LCHS”, with Pep Squad Camp in the memo line along
with pep squad member’s name and school ID#.
Requested Program Donation $125 per member (in lieu of cookie dough fundraisers of the past)
o Payable to “LCHS” with Program Donation in the memo line with pep member’s name and ID#
o This helps pay for various things such as goodies at camp, homecoming hair wreaths and flowers,
football goody bags, poster paper and paint, food at certain events, etc.
Thursday, May 28: Payment for camp balance is due ($125 for Cheer and Song Squads, $100 for Flag Squad)

Payable to “LCHS”, with Pep Squad Camp in the memo line with pep squad member’s name and school ID#
Friday, June 5: Final payment is due to Broadway Cheer.



They do not accept personal checks for final payment, only credit card, money order, and cashier check.
If paying cashier’s check/money order, it must be received by Broadway by June 6, so mail by Monday, June 2nd.
Please note the importance of this deadline as the order for the ENTIRE SQUAD is delayed if any payments are
missing.

All squads need to wear appropriate pep squad clothing, same as at workshops until new squad attire and shoes
come in
Once squad attire is in, squads wear matching attire and shoes at each practice (sports bra under appropriate tshirt/tank top, spankees under cheer shorts, WHITE socks with athletic tennis shoes, hair in pony tail (ribbon is
optional), no jewelry)
Bring a bottle of water labeled with your NAME. Be on time and have a positive attitude
Summer 2015: Practice with all members present is essential in order to safely learn and sharpen skills, build
routines, and prepare for Fall. Vacations, work, etc. need to be planned around these dates, there will be no excused
dates.
 JUNE:
o Summer Fundraising Little Girl Camps, Memorial Park: The purpose is to raise the funds for items such
as stools, carpet squares, flags, poms, shoes, cheer bags and other necessary items throughout the year.
If money is raised over the total needed, a rebate will be given to each squad member to reimburse
individual costs at the end of the year.
 Varsity Cheer – 6/1 – 6/5/15, 3-4:30 pm
 Varsity Songs – 6/8 – 6/12, 4-5:30 pm
 JV Cheer – 6/15 – 6/19, 2:30-4 pm (tentative)
 JV Songs – 6/15 – 6/19, 4:30-6 pm
 Flaggies – 6/29 – 7/2, 4-5:30 pm

Pasadena

FALL REGISTRATION: Estimated $195 transportation donation due in August at Registration – indicate Pep Squad when
you pay, along with student name and ID number in the memo line – checks payable to LCHS. You will need to fill out
the athletic clearance paperwork minus the physical unless your physical has expired.
All Squads
SPIRIT PACK: This will be ordered online by each family, details for ordering to be sent out in the next 2 weeks.

MISCELLANEOUS:
SQUAD PARENTS: Each squad has one or two squad parents who act(s) as a communication facilitator and organizer for
the advisor, squad members and their families. Duties include: contact person for uniform and camp wear delivery,
ordering the stools and equipment needed for each girl on squad, helping to coordinate the little girl summer camp
(with the help of the squad), forwarding emails from Advisor and coaches to squad parents/members, and other misc.
duties. The first two months are really hectic and then it slows down. Each squad mom will receive a list of approved
vendors and help from the previous squad moms to help with the transition.
CAPTAINS: Captains will not be chosen at this time. The Advisor and Coaches will be choosing the captains based upon a
variety of factors, including positive leadership, interactions shown at practices, etc. If applicable, past performance on
pep will be taken into consideration as well. If a girl is interested, she should let Mrs. Dunn know.
Carpet Squares and Stools: These will be ordered by squad with the help of the squad mom.
