The Practical Do’s and Don’ts of Accommodation Speaker: John Hyde, Partner, Levitt & Grosman LLP Speakers: Suresh Moorthy | Sales Manager, Express Scripts, Ontario/Atlantic Canada Suresh Moorthy, MBA, GBA is a Sales Manager at Express Scripts Canada (ESC) involved with promoting ESC products and services geared towards changing member behavior. His role involves assisting client advisors to build a business case to help plan sponsors create sustainable drug benefit plans into the future. Prior to his Sales role, he was responsible for building and maintaining predictive pricing models using client data at ESC. As a result, he is heavily implicated in Express Scripts Canada’s business development activities through the last three years. Prior to joining Express Scripts Canada, Suresh gained valuable insight into the group insurance industry during his tenure at Desjardins Financial Security where he was a Senior Group Underwriter. Kevin Brady | Managing Director, NFP Canada, South Western Ontario Kevin Brady is a personable leader and entrepreneur with extensive experience in the financial services industry. By 1998, he had an enviable track record of more than 13 years in management with London Life Insurance. During his time at London Life, Kevin headed up multiple employee benefits offices as regional and senior management in Southern Ontario. In 1999, Kevin decided to open his own company, providing employee benefits for corporations, which he grew into one of the largest and most reputable independent financial service companies in Southern Ontario. Kevin strongly believes in health and wellness and has implemented many successful health programs that have led to long term savings for his clients. Dr. Hanif Jamal, BSc, MD, CCFP | Executive Health Physician, Cleveland Clinic Canada Hanif Jamal, BSc, MD, CCFP, is an Executive Health physician at Cleveland Clinic Canada with a keen interest in preventative health, hospitalist medicine and healthcare innovation. He has extensive experience in primary and acute care, as well as post-operative pediatric and adult surgery, pediatric and adult psychiatry, physical rehabilitation medicine and complex continuing care. Born in Toronto and raised in Markham, Dr. Jamal obtained his Doctor of Medicine from McMaster University in Hamilton, where he also completed his Residency in Family Medicine. He went on to pursue further training in Leadership in Healthcare Innovation at the Harvard Macy Institute, a Harvard School of Business and Harvard Medical School Joint Program. He currently holds a Clinical Professorship of Medicine at McMaster University. John Hyde | Partner, Levitt & Grosman LLP John Hyde is a management-side lawyer and a partner at the firm of Levitt & Grosman LLP, nationally recognized as one of Canada’s pre-eminent Boutique Labour and Employment Law Firms. John advises management on all aspects of employment and labour law, including representation before administrative tribunals, collective agreement negotiation, arbitrations, wrongful dismissal defense and human rights. He also assists clients in providing strategic legal and human resources advice on labour and employment matters arising out of complex mergers, acquisitions and the sale of businesses. John’s pre-law background is in operations and human resources management in the transportation industry. This experience provides him with the unique opportunity to assist clients in the formulation of practical legal solutions, specifically tailored to their needs. John is one of only 24 lawyers in Ontario certified as a Specialist in Labour Law by the Law Society of Upper Canada. He is the author of a number of articles in various labour and employment publications, and has presented numerous seminars on labour and employment law matters.
