Risk Assessment Essential and Management
Masterclass 2015
MASTERCLASS BACKGROUND
In a competitive business environment underlined by global
economic uncertainty, organisations are expecting more from
their risk teams than ever before. Many executives outside
of the risk management discipline are also increasingly
expected to understand risk assessment and management
principles. Deep and diverse skillsets are required to provide
the forward-looking insight and analysis which will enable the
business to take the right risks, avoid potential threats and
deliver growth in this challenging environment.
In addition to sound skills in identifying, assessing, and
classifying risk, the ability to provide well rounded scenario
planning and risk analysis are important capabilities
which can assist in helping stakeholders to gain a deeper
understanding of risk and make appropriate decisions
especially towards uncertain risks. Equally important as the
generation of 360° insightful risk data and reports is the
capability to communicate this information effectively to the
management and facilitate improvements in risk decisionmaking and understanding across business lines.
Facilitated by one of Malaysia’s leading risk experts, this
intensive workshop is specifically designed to enhance these
key skills and the capabilities which are essential to success
as a contemporary risk practitioner or executive attuned to
risk. Attendees will benefit from discussions with like-minded
professionals and will leave the event equipped to apply a
range of cutting-edge techniques through the application of a
range of case studies and practical examples.
TRAINING DELIVERY AND
PRE-COURSE QUESTIONNAIRE
This workshop will be delivered using a three-tiered approach.
The structure of each session is as follows:
1. Technical overview of the topic area under discussion
2. Practical application of management principles in the
review of case studies, worked examples and interactive
exercises
3. Discussion of subject outcomes and implementation
problems
Workshop participants will have the opportunity to include
comments and questions about issues outlined in the
program by way of a pre-course questionnaire. This feedback
will enable the course facilitator to address individual questions
and concerns.
