This is the most difficult part of this program to write, because there is no way to thank everyone who
contributes to the success of this event. This year rather than trying to come up with an exhaustive
list, we are focusing on some key groups.
First, to the team at TD who are a not only a critically important sponsor of this event, but are also
one of our most cherished community partners. TD is a leading Ottawa employer in the hiring of
people with intellectual disabilities and we at LiveWorkPlay are proud to have had a part in
developing and supporting that success.
Second, to all the people who recruited donors and sponsors and to those who have contributed to
the nuts and bolts of this amazing event, we simply could not do this without you. This is a success
story for the entire community, which continues to open their hearts and wallets in support of a more
inclusive Ottawa. Thank you for attending and bidding!

Looking for a sponsor and/or donated item that doesn’t appear in the program? Chances are it came
in after we sent the program to the printer. Our items are recruited mainly by volunteers from all areas
of the city and it often takes a while to coordinate a pickup, catalogue the item, and then get it listed in
the program in advance of the event. If you hunt around the silent auction tables you will probably find
some items that didn’t make the program. It’s a chance to pick up a really great deal for a really great
cause! If you see anything that doesn’t look right, please let us know, obviously we can’t change the
program, but we’ll be happy to make an announcement if applicable.
Enjoy the great food (coming from a mobile tray near
you) and conversations! We understand not everyone
is here to bid on every item, but we have some very
active silent auction aficionados who don’t like to be
impeded from the bid sheets. So, if you can take care
to position yourself away from the bid tables when you
are not actively participating, that would be greatly
appreciated. It will be more comfortable for everyone
and we’ll raise more money!
