Unfortunately we do not have the trophy to display as it appears our opponents were so confident of winning that they failed to bring it along. It was an excellent fellowship night and we were very well looked after by the Mackay Darts Association. Gary CK Huang Pres. R.I. Coral and I have been in Brisbane over Easter with Coral participating with the Mackay Choral Society in the South Queensland Eisteddfod in Brisbane City Hall. She has included the results for Mackay below. It was also great to spend some time with our daughters, their husbands and other family in Brisbane. John Palmer Pres. Mackay West With some new members joining the Club, I feel that it would be very worthwhile for longer serving members to give a 5 minute talk on their previous employment or current happenings in their workplace. This will give our new members some insight into the diverse range of people that make up Rotary. I will kick off next week and suggest that we then move down the member list in alphabetical order each week that we hold a normal dinner meeting. President-elect Des was not able to attend the recent Group 1 Assembly but we were represented by incoming Board members, Trevor Townsend, David Froyland and Neil Macleod. It is understood that they absorbed a wealth of knowledge and will be well-placed to lead us in 2015/16. Directors please remember the Board meeting at 5pm this week. John We break the bread of Brotherhood For the Partners: Craig Edmonston DG 9570 Rotary Grace Please join me at the Boomerang Bistro for dinner this Wednesday at 6pm while the club is meeting. It is a good chance to catch up with news from other members and their families. Mackay Choral Society was pleased with their results in Brisbane against some tough competition from choirs with more members. It was a wonderful experience to sing in the Brisbane City Hall. We won the Music Theatre section, gained a third in the Ladies and the Sacred and Highly Commended in the Hymn Singing, Modern and the Quartette. Coral We thank thee Lord for all things good May we, more blessed than we deserve Live less for self and more to serve.
