TO ALL AGENTS:
RE: Equipment Breakdown Coverage Enhancements
We are pleased to announce that we have enhanced our Homeowner and Farmowner coverage to deliver
more value to our policyholders.
Effective February 1, 2014 a New Version of the Equipment Breakdown Enhancement Endorsement will
be attached to all Homeowner and Farmowner Renewals and New Business. This version includes
enhancements to Homeowner and Farmowner Dwellings.
All current Homeowner and Farmowner policies with Equipment Breakdown will automatically include
these increased limits through our modification clause included in our policy forms.
The Enhancements are as follows:
Limits and Deductibles:
Equipment Breakdown is offered on a per occurrence basis. A $500 deductible and an increased limit of
$100,000 will now apply.
Refrigerated Property:
We pay for the loss of perishable goods due to spoilage. The coverage has increased to a maximum of
$10,000 per occurrence.
Expediting Expense:
We pay for the reasonable cost to make temporary repairs and expedite permanent repairs or replacement.
The coverage has increased to a maximum of $10,000 per occurrence.
Pollutant Clean up and Removal:
We pay for the clean up and removal of pollutants. The coverage has increased to a maximum of
$10,000 per occurrence.
Off-Premises Coverage:
We will pay for the loss of covered property while away from a covered location. The coverage is now
provided to a maximum of $10,000 per occurrence.

Loss Example: During a family vacation, a storm caused a power outage. The laptop computer and cell
phone are charging when the outage occurred. When power was restored, a voltage spike damaged the
items beyond repair and required their replacement. With the Off-Premises Coverage the home owner
would now be covered!
Green Enchancements:
If a covered piece of equipment is replaced with a similar unit that has an Energy Star rating or similar
"Green" rating, our Green Coverage will now pay up to 150% of the replacement cost. Insureds have the
ability to upgrade with equipment that is more environmentally friendly and efficient than ever before!
We have also removed the $3,000 sub-limit for this coverage.
We also have some new marketing materials for Equipment Breakdown that can be found under
"Frequently Requested Forms".
Thank you for your continued support of Marysville Mutual-it is greatly appreciated.
