Kindergarten Eligibility
Beginning with the 2015-16 school year, students enrolling in Kindergarten
must turn five years old by September 1, 2015. The law does make a
provision for parents to enroll their child whose birthday falls after the date specified, but still before
December 1, 2015. Parents must complete a waiver form by June 1, 2015. This waiver from the age
requirement only applies in the 2015-16 school year. Parents may request a waiver form from their resident
school.
