Montessori methods are changing the face of aged and dementia care. Montessori is
now taking a stand as one of the proven models that delivers true person centred care.

AGED SUPP
Montessori methods for dementia focus on supporting the person living with dementia
and changing the care culture. It is a strengths based approach where the techniques are
intended to engage people with dementia in life and living, by providing an environment
that focuses on a person’s strengths, supports their losses and circumvents their deficits
whilst providing purpose to their day through meaningful activities and roles. The goal of
Montessori is to support a person to be as independent as possible, to make choices and
to be treated with respect and dignity. Montessori enhances quality of life.
Support and Learning
The Montessori Aged Support Conference is held annually in Sydney featuring leading
international and national speakers.
REGISTRATION
Early bird $660 closes 30 April 2015 (then $715).
