We have almost all the thank you letters
for the 2015 MCJLS buyers, but there are
some kids that didn't provide us any
letters. For those that didn’t comply with
this important task, expect some
deductions on your MCJLS check. We
already successfully concluded some 4-H
events at the local level, and at District
12. The local 4-H Fashion Show was on
March 16, and the 4-H Photo Show was
until March 19 on line. The District 12 4-H
Fashion Show was in Falfurrias, Texas on
Saturday, March 28 and we had 6
participants from Maverick County. The
District 12 4-H Photo Show registration
was virtual on line via 4-H Connect, and
we had 8 participants this year. We also
provided the 2015 Maverick County 4-H
Shooting Sports Safety Training for
Archery and Rifle, and the kids are
already practicing. The 4-H Banquet will
be on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 6 pm
in the cafeteria of the Eagle Pass High
School. We have a committee for the
2015 4-H Awards Banquet, and let us
know if you would like to be a part of the
committee.

The District 12 Leadership LAB Camp will be
at the South West Texas Junior College, in
Uvalde, Texas from 06/23/2015 to

The District 12 4-H Election Convention will
be at the South West Texas Junior College,
in Uvalde, Texas on 06/26/2015 and
registrations on 4-H Connect from

The District 12 4-H Record Book Judging
will be in Three Rivers, Texas on
07/09/2015 by the County Extension
Agents and 4-H Volunteers, registrations
on 4-H Connect are from 06/08/2015 to
07/02/2015
The Horizons Summer Camp will be from
06/28/2015 to 07/01/2015 in
Brownwood, Texas you can reserve your
spot with $ 25.00 from March 1, 2015 and
the actual cost of the camp is $ 285.00
with meals, activities, and dormitory
included. Your County Extension Agent will
be there, as part of the volunteer staff.
