CHECKLIST FOR INTER STATE ZONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
1. Individual Events: The BAI has introduced Individual events at the Zonal level
from this year onwards. Each participating team is eligible to send 2 (Two)
singles, 1 (one) Double and 1 (one) Mixed Doubles to the Individual events. Draw
will take place at the Venue.
2. Team Event :The Mixed team event is introduced from this year onwards for
both Seniors and Juniors. Draw will take place during Manager’s meeting.

3. No.of players : Each team is eligible to send maximum of 5 Men, 5 Women , 5
Boys & 5 girls. Total not more than 20 players. ( Extra players not permitted ).
4. Team officials : Total no.of Team officials (Manager & Coaches ) should not be
more than 3 ( three). Member Associations are requested not to encourage extra
officials or parents with the team.
5. Duration : Team event will be conducted on the first two days or 2 ½ days,
followed by Individual events. Total no.of days shall be 4 to 5 days (depending on
strength of Teams participating).
6. Nationals eligibility:
Winners of all events in Team events are eligible to participate in Nationals – Men
& Women in Senior Nationals and Boys & Girls in Junior Nationals. All Semi
finalists in singles and finalists in doubles in Individual events are eligible to
participate in Seniors / Junior Nationals.
7. The BAI will nominate one observer to each zone. Each participating team shall
nominate one BAI umpire. He /she will be paid TA & DA as par with BAI norms
equal to grade II umpires. ( Irrespective of Grades )
8. Three members committee with BAI observer , Org.Secretary and Referee are
authorized to take final decision on any dispute arises.
9. The Host.Association shall provide free Accommodation ( 2 to 3 members in a
room), Boarding and local transport to all players, Technical Officials, BAI
Observer and the Hon.Secretaries of respective zones. Refreshments may be
provided to the To’s / BAI officials whenever necessary.
10. TA & DA shall be paid to the To’s, BAI observer as per the BAI norms ( on the 2nd
day of the Zonal Championships.) All umpires are eligible for TA & DA equal to
Grade II.
11. Host. Organizers shall provide meeting hall close to venue for managers meeting
& TO’s meeting on all days. Refreshments may be provided during meeting.
Computer with operator, stationary, Printer, Internet shall be provided at the
Venue.
12. Transport shall be provided from Railway Station / Airport to the Hotel & back to
all participants on advance request. One car may be provided to BAI observer /
officials.
13. Trophies may be presented to the Winners & Runner up teams in Team event and
Individual prizes to the finalists of all Individual events. Memento’s may be
presented to TO’s & BAI officials.
14. Welcome Dinner may be arranged one day before the commencement of Team
event followed by inauguration of the championships (No march-past).
15. Host Association is requested to extend invitation to the Hon’ble President /
General Secretary / Vice President (Admn) of BAI either for Inaugural of closing
functions.
16. Certificates may be issued with signature of
(1.)BAI Observer (2).President of Host.Assn
(3).Secretary of the Host.Assn and General Secretary, BAI / Secretary (T),if
available.
Semi finalists are eligible for Merit certificates as 3rd place in both team and
individual events.
