McKinley Chapter Meeting
Minutes and newsletter
The Feb 9th meeting of the McKinley Chapter was held at the Eastpark Cafeteria in
Brimfield OH located at the (NE corner) intersection of Highways 43 and 18. This is
just south of the Kent Ohio exit from Highway 76 in Portage County.
Those in attendance were, Kent Pasko, Eric Halverson, Steven Zalar, Howland
“Buzz” Davis, Tom Babyak, Curt Corsello, Dan Gleghorn and Speaker Dan Goodrow, Medina County Career Center -The meeting was started with discussion of
future meeting dates see (page 2).

-We were reminded that the next scheduled meeting is to be a gathering at the
Ohio (BWC) Safety Congress in Columbus to be held March 31– April 2nd. As a
heads up this is an excellent opportunity for Ohio employers to attend a free conference on safety. It will just cost transportation and accommodations. This conference is on par with the National organization but focused for Ohio employers. Register on line through the Ohio BWC website.

Kent agreed to seek a speaker for the March 9th date currently open. To be
organized as soon as possible.

Also discussed was organization and offering of training on ALICE

Presented talk of Emergency Response, How can Local authorities
and industry work together
We had a good open discussion covering the essentials of a good emergency response plan, and the complexity of what is needed to do it well
