County Proposal to Change the Noise Ordinance An Informational Forum brought to you by the McLean Citizens Association Supervisor John Foust Wednesday, April 29, 2015, 7:30-9:30 PM McLean Community Center Community Hall 1234 Ingleside Drive, McLean, Virginia On February 3, 2015, the Board of Supervisors Development Process Committee authorized County staff to advertise for public hearing a new Noise Ordinance that, among other things, would raise the permitted maximum noise level for activities on school and recreational grounds from 55 decibels to 72 decibels, and allow 65 decibels in Mixed-Use areas 24 hours a day, the same level allowed in Commercial districts. In response to resident interest and concerns about the proposed changes to the County’s noise ordinance, the McLean Citizens Association, in collaboration with Dranesville District Supervisor John Foust, cordially invites you to an information forum with County staff to learn about the proposed changes to the County’s noise ordinance. Staff will explain why they have proposed changing the ordinance and what the proposed changes will mean for you. There will be ample time for you to ask questions, share your views, and express any concerns that you may have. Please come and invite your friends and neighbors.
