in WARSAW, POLAND
The Medical University of Warsaw is the largest and one of the oldest medical universities in Poland. At present, there are over
10 000 students across its four faculties, including over 500 international students. The University has a research and academic
staff of over 1500, more than 100 of them being professors. The University offers education at Bachelor’s and Master’s level in
eleven fields and three specialties. Two programmes in Medicine are conducted in English. The University also provides
postgraduate education for physicians, as well as doctoral programmes in Medicine and Pharmacy.
Poland, one of the largest countries in Europe, with broad access to the Baltic Sea, is situated in the middle of the European
continent at the crossroads between West and East. Poland is a garden of nature and a trasure trove of cultural riches. Along
the Baltic Sea Amber Coast and across Masuria, the Land of a Thousand Lakes, there are ancient forests, rivers and hills. A
stable democracy with a robust economy and monetary system – this is Poland in the third millennium.
