Firmware Upgrade Instructions
1.
Connect the supplied RJ-45 Ethernet cable from the Ethernet Port on the back of the device to your computer.
2.
Connect the supplied power adapter to your router and press the on/off button to power the router on.
3.
Allow 60 – 90 seconds for the NB604N to power up.
4.
Open a web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc) and type http://192.168.1.1 into the address bar and
press Enter.
5.
At the login screen, type admin into both the Username and the Password fields and click OK.
6.
Select Management from the menu on the right and then Update Software from the menu that appears below
Management.
7.
Select the Browse button to locate and load the new firmware file.

Click the Update Software button to proceed.
The process takes approximately 2 minutes.
When the update is complete, the router automatically reboots.
9.
To confirm the firmware version number in use, log in to the device again and compare the Software Version number
displayed on the Device Info page with the version of the file you installed.
10. To complete the upgrade, you must reset the device to factory default settings. Select Management from the menu on the
right of the screen and then select Settings and then Restore Default. Click the Restore Default Settings button then click
the OK button to confirm.
Note: You must reset the router to the default settings after the firmware upgrade to ensure that it functions correctly.

Click the OK button on the window that appears.
The router reboots.
The firmware upgrade is complete.
