PLATINUM PROGRAMME – SUMMER 2016 PROPOSALS
One show in several locations
TOSCA
One of the most famous operas ever, Giacomo Puccini’s masterpiece. A deeply
moving story of the love of the singer Tosca and Cavaradossi – the painter, with
which cruel history and politics will interfere. Unforgettable arias brimming with
Puccini’s characteristic melody charm, “theatre in theatre”, elements of staggering
realism add up to make this opera, enthralling yet another generation of the
audience.

A marvellous comedy about a troublesome tenor
When the world’s famous tenor is about to visit Cleveland, everyone is very
excited and nervous. However, right before the premiere, everything starts
getting really complicated. It’s all because of mood swings and illness of the star of
the night. His marriage problems make things even worse, leading to tragedy. The
premiere has to take place anyway and the desperate opera’s director is going
to do whatever it takes, even a scandalous cover-up, to make it happen. When
everything seems to be going according to his plan, it is ruined by curious women.
Lend me a tenor! is one of the funniest comedies ever written, a story about love,
jealousy, business and big dreams. It is also the story of the birth of a new star.
The show will not be short of hilarious mistakes, sudden twists of the plot and the
dressing-up, which audiences like so much. Appearing on the stage will be among
others: Katarzyna Zielińska, Katarzyna Skrzynecka, Olaf Lubaszenko.

Masterpiece performances of Chopin’s music
CHOPIN AND HIS EUROPE
The 12th edition of the Chopin and his Europe International Music Festival
traces the various influences on Chopin’s music, as well as that of Chopin’s
music on the works of other composers. It features Chopin’s favorite musical
genres – opera, art song, concerto, chamber music; finally, it showcases
a phenomenon popular in the 19 th century, consisting of arrangements,
paraphrases and variations on the themes of the best-known works from that
era. It also undertakes daring – though risky, and thereby provocative as well
– transformations of Chopin’s masterpieces into another type sound. All of
this in masterful renditions on both contemporary and historical instruments.

Several wives are better than one
What worse than marriage to befall a man? Possibly only the lack of a wife. Especially
as having one is the precondition for promotion and the boss wants to see her
over dinner. It turns out however that having several wives may be even worse…
particularly when they are not quite yours. On top of that they show up all at the
same time and at the same table – facing the boss and his wife. Disaster is imminent
and the promotion has to be waved good-bye. Yet more often than not a smart
wife saved her husband’s day. How about several wives and not quite their husband?
Edward Taylor’s No Dinner for Sinners is an intelligent comedy, brimming with
brilliant verbal and situational humour. A guarantee of entertainment full of
laughter and a touch of irony and sarcasm targeted at each of us. The magnificent
cast adds credibility to the show – Magdalena Wójcik, Maria Pakulnis, Marcin
Troński, Klaudia Halejcio.

Flying without a parachute
FLYSPOT
Who of us never dreamt of flying when we were young? Apparently, in
order to fly you do not have to jump with a parachute. There is another way
– a free fall simulator. Flyspot is the most high-tech windtunnel in Europe
with a diameter of 4.5 metres and a closed air circuit, where high power
ventilators generate a uniform airflow with speed up to 310 km/h. It is
a place where gravity does not exist.

Mory near Warszawa
A ninety-second flight from the starter pack, which corresponds to
a parachute jump from an altitude of 4000 metres, is among the most
exciting experiences in life. Not only does it allow you to experience
free-fall flying but also to attempt controlling it for the first time. This is the
first step towards the elite circle of indoor-skydivers.
Ticket prices for 2 flights: reduced 219 PLN; regular 249 PLN
