Racing go-karts can be a lot of fun. Go-karts are small cars. Some go-karts have an open top.
Other go-karts have a frame over the car. Go-karts come in all sorts of colors.
There are tracks where you can race go-karts. Some tracks are indoors. Other tracks are
outdoors. You can choose your favorite color go-kart to race in. You can drive the go-karts
around and around the track. You can ride on a track with your friends. You can go fast. You
can pass other go-karts.
Some go-karts are kid-sized. Kids of all ages can race them.
Little kids can race with an adult sitting next to them. Bigger
kids can race all by themselves. It feels exciting to race a gokart.
You feel like you are flying when you race a go-kart. The
wind makes your hair blow. The go-karts are loud. They
make an exciting vroom, vroom sound when they race.
Kids of all ages like to race go-karts!
Racing go-karts can be dangerous, too. Some racers don’t wear the right safety gear when
they race. Racers should wear a helmet, safety vest, and gloves. The gear can cost a lot of
money.
Go-karts can go very fast. Some go-karts can go up to 50 mph. That is as fast as a car. When a
go-kart is going that fast, it is very hard to stop. If a racer can’t stop fast enough, he may crash
into other carts. He may crash into the wall. Racers could be hurt or killed.
It is important to be safe when you are racing go-karts. You should always have an adult near
you to make sure you are safe. The adult should have a way to call 911 if an emergency
happens.
Racing go-karts can be dangerous. But if you wear the right gear and act in a safe way, racing
go-karts can be fun, too!
