About Conference
In this world where plagiarism is
rampant and copyright infringement is
more often, having proper law in place
pertaining to intellectual property along
with implementation is the need of the
hour. To unwind the complexi
complexities
associated with intellectual property it is
imperative to delve into its meaning.
Intellectual property in general is defined
as ‘Product of Mind’ and is similar to
any property consisting of movable and
immovable assets which lawfully just
belong to the owner and cannot be used
by others without due permission.
Copyright is important to creators like
writers and artists as well as those such
as publishers that own rights, as it
provides them with a legal right of
ownership of the work that they produce.
This means that creators of an original
piece of work can have some control over
how
w it is used, which is not only fair but
necessary for them to make a living from
their talent and efforts. When they have
the means to make a living from their
work then they can continue to invest
their time, and, in the case of publishers,
their money iinto the production of new
work. Patenting is translating of an
intangible
ntangible asset to tangible one and is
considered to be one of the prime off
shoots of intellectual property rights
(IPR).
In
today's
fast
changing
technological world, IPR plays a pivotal
role in safeguarding the innovations
through patenting system and special
emphasis
is
drawn
toward
towards
the
Engineering,
Pharmaceutical
and
biotechnological industry. In the last
several years, a large number of
workshops, symposia and conferences
have been conducted in the country to
increase the level of awareness towards
intellectual
ectual property and its protection

amongst experts/ scientists in R&D and
academia. On occasion of World
Intellectual Property Day (26th April), the

organized in collaboration with

Consultants,
Intellectual
Property Owner’s Association and Indian
Council of Contemporary Researchers.
Researchers
The conference is aimed at not only
highlighting various issues related to
IPRs but also giving knowledge on the art
and science of patent literature search,
documentation of in-house
in
Intellectual
Property generation process and the
output there of along with drafting and
filing
of
patent
and
copyright
applications.
Who Should Attend?
The target participants and delegates
include experts/ scientists in R&D
R& and
academia working in the areas of
innovation and potential intellectual
property generators. Along with the
person from society will also be targeted
to make aware them about IPR. The
proposed conference would provide a
unique opportunity to patent the

intellectual property of their innovative
process, design and the product. Main
areas covered during the conference
would be patent literature search,
documentation, drafting of patent and
infringement analysis.

pharmacy's future practitioners with its
six-year Pharm.D & Pharm.D (Post
Baccl.) program from 2012 with an
intake of 30 & 10 students per year
respectively from India and abroad to
enhance and upgrade the standard and
status of pharmacists with a notion to
enable them to render community
services. The students of Pharm. D are
imparted clinical training in our 1000
bedded hospital attached to M.M.
Institute of Medical Sciences and
Research (MMIMSR).
Call for Poster/Oral Presentation
During conference a session is dedicated
for poster/oral presentation to encourage
budding scientist to showcase their
research/innovation.
The
registered
participants who wish to deliver oral
presentation or poster presentation
should
send
their
abstracts
at
[email protected] by April
16, 2015.
Abstract Preparation for Oral/Poster
Presentation:
The
abstracts
for
oral/poster presentation should clearly
indicate the Title, author(s) name and
affiliation, presenting author’s email id at
top. The abstract paragraph should
clearly mention objectives, Methodology,
Results & Discussion and Conclusion in
250-300 words. Authors for oral
presentations should clearly indicate
that this abstract is being submitted for
consideration
in
oral
presentation
segment. The authors of abstract
selected for oral presentation would be
required to submit their major highlights
of research in the form of full length
research paper (limited to 3 pages).
Proceedings of conference would be
published in upcoming issue of Global
Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences &
Research.
Registration: Registration Fee INR 300
per participant before 16, April, 2015.
Afterwards INR 500 till 25th April, 10:00
a.m.
Lodging, Boarding, Travelling
Registration includes kit, Tea & Lunch
during
conference.
Other
lodging,
boarding and travel expenses are to
borne by participant. However on
request accommodation on nominal
payment may be provided to participants
in campus.
