One of the industries most affected by crisis and issues is the food and drink sector. Over the past 18 months we have seen food and drink products thrown into the spotlight as the media expose problems within the supply chain. Examples of this include this year’s nut contamination announcement. With growing pressure to now widen the nut investigation to test for contamination across all food products that contain paprika and cumin, ‘Nutgate’ now has the potential to eclipse the much-publicised ‘Horsegate’, which plagued the headlines throughout 2013. As leaders within corporate reputation, we work closely with some of the leading global food brands to help them anticipate, organise, simulate, and execute crisis strategies across their business. In response to the current ‘Nutgate’ issue, we are opening our doors and hosting an exclusive workshop with our leading international crisis and issues expert Andrew MacDougall and Adam Leyland editor of The Grocer, the bible of the fast moving consumer goods industry. Adam Leyland Editor, The Grocer An authority on issues as diverse as food pricing, binge drinking and a host of consumer trends, Adam is a very well-known figure in the food and drink industry, and makes regular appearances on the BBC, ITV, Sky News, and other media. He was also named Editor of the Year by the British Society of Magazine Editors in 2009. 9.00 – 9.30am How do you respond to a food scare in an ‘always on’ world? 9.30 – 9.45am What does a best practise crisis and issues example look like? 9.45 – 10.00am How does the media respond to a crisis story? 10.00 – 10.30am Q&A session
